SG: Ha Ji Won's double loses 8kg in two weeks for the role

Not quite new news...I admit, I was too lazy to translate -_-" But better late than never, right? Also have a cute Binnie article coming up, so please anticipate it! (gah, I sound like some actor giving a speech about their upcoming show).
8kg may not sound that impressive alongside Yoon Sang Hyun's 10 kg, but two! weeks! That means this lady here lost 4kg in 7 days! Holey moley! Is that even humanly possible?
In Secret Garden, actress Ha Ji Won may be a stuntwoman, but the real stunts were performed another stuntwoman. And this woman is 22-year-old stuntwoman Yoo Mi-jin who has appeared in KBS 2TV's Hello recently (or maybe not so recent >_<).

The theme of the program for that day was "Occupation". She said that as a stunt double working in the industry, she has develop a "shan't lose to the dudes" attitude, and no matter what she has to do more, and do better.

She continued, "At that time, the martial arts director told her to lose weight, more specifically a 26cm reduction on the waist line...I thought I mustn't lose this opportunity to shoot, so within 2 weeks I lost 8kg."

The MC of the show expressed a high level of interest in this; asked her to reveal a thing on two, or a reproduction of Ha Ji Won and Hyun Bin's famous scenes in Secret Garden.

Yoo Mi-jin lived up to expectations; she wowed with her martial arts moves and even did SG's famous sit-up scene.

Secret Garden: A CNY Present

Continuing my tradition since last Christmas, I'll be posting another SG parody vid using Chinese New Years as an excuse (let's be honest: I'm still not quite over Joo Won or SG yet).

Linky to the video will be after this, first up here are pics of SJ's Eunhyuk doing yet another parody from our beloved show. As any Gardener would know, it's the two signature scenes from the drama, The Sit-ups and the (infamous) Bed Scene #1:
LMAO.

Anyway, about the Joo Won parody: It's actually a rather simple set of scenes put together, but what made it (sorta) funny was the BG music, you might've recognize the Crazy Frog/ Annoying Orange-like song.

There's an interesting story behind this song, dubbed by Chinese netizens as the "Toss Onion Song". The song was featured in a scene in the anime Bleach, where the character was twirling a leek while singing a scat section of this traditional Finnish folk song, levan Polkka by four-member Finnish group Loituma

The song debuted in 1996 but it wasn't until 2006 that song became a worldwide phenomenon, due to that episode in Bleach.

That concludes our little background story on the BG song, watch the Joo Wonnie vid here:

Ha Ji Won Gives An Answer To Taecyeon

Awww this noona-love relationship is so sweet. Yeah I'm totally imagining something more than what seems like a simple admiration. But if Demi Moore can work it, I don't see why this is impossible, ha!
Below is an relevant excerpt from a Newsen interview, and thanks to kingsun0009 I don't even have to translate the sentence (love!):

Q: Say something to your a big fan of yours, Taecyeon?
A: Thank you so much. I've been watching Dream High and supporting you. I'm worried that you'll change your favourite actress. However, I hope you won't change your heart, haha.
Oh that means Ha Ji Won must be on the MiGook ship. Sad...it's lonely here being on the SamMi boat T_T

Ha Ji Won: "Tang Wei Watches SG Too"

Ha Ji Won recently attended Prada's Spring/Summer 2011 Collection in Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. She was the only Korean star who has been invited for the event, alongside Chinese actresses Tang Wei, Gong Li, Maggie Cheung and other stars.

Ha Ji Won said: "That day I met Tang Wei for the first time, she said she watched Secret Garden. When I said I knew Late Autumn will be released in Korea, she replied it would be in February. She was very warm, like a friend." She expressed her regret at not being able to chat with her further: "The fashion show was held in a relatively dark room, furthermore we sat separately from each other. We did meet again in the crowded elevator, but there was no time to chat about the drama or partnering with Hyun Bin and such."

Although Secret Garden has not officially aired in China, it is available through various channels (hc: such as *cough* Tudou *cough*) and has gained nationwide attention in China. She laughed and said: "I had no idea Secret Garden was so popular in China. It's similar to Korea, so I'm surprised. Compared to me, they're more obsessed  about the role." She went on: "The Chinese fans have been calling me by my name in the drama to take pictures. They would also send fruits to the hotel for me to eat when I'm tired, they have been very attentive. The shooting for the television series have been tiring, but through this visit to China, I'm very happy."

Wouldn't You Like To Know: Some Anecdotes On Their High School Days

By "their", I'm mish-mashing 2 tid bits I read about Ha Ji Won and Kim Tae Hee during their high school years - boy, they must had it good. Unlike mine...

Ha Ji Won's Report Card Exposed!
First of all, isn't there a law against this? Something about student-teacher confidentiality, no? Hmm...

Recently, screenshots of Ha Ji Won's Year 1 to 6 Report Card has been put up on a website via a television program that featured it; it became one of the most viewed posts of all time.

It is reported that from the 2nd grade up till the 3rd year of high school, she has been the class leader or assistant class leader for 8 consecutively years. The reviews from teachers has also been positive; HJW was also the choir conductor in the group; to sum it up: an all-around good student.

A Princess Trick: How Kim Tae Hee Got Her School Fees Waived
Hah! But this "trick" only works for the pretty.
Kim Tae Hee has always been known for both her beauty and brains. She attended Ulsan High School, one of the leading high schools in the country. For three years her scores were among the best, needless to say she became one of the most sought after girl in school (that means: many, many pursuers).

It is said that because of her beauty, the tuition she attended - no matter which class, attracted lots of male students. As a result of this, the tuition school decided to waive three years of her tuition fees.

SG's Bed Scene: Behind-The-Scenes

[To mamajoni who wanted to know more about the bed scene, sorry to put a wet blanket to the steamy bed scene, but as a certain show said it best: You Asked For It -haha!]

You know, I've been thinking about SG's finale...and if I were to change one part it would be Sohn Ye Jin's cameo. This is pretty shocking for me too, as she's one of my fav kstars in the industry -and happy to see her doing fine, in fact hotter and wittier than she ever was in Personal Taste), but I was (irrationally) mad at her for taking away what could be Joo Won's sister and Action School's director's romantic development. Wouldn't it be better if, say, she wanted Ra Im to be her stuntwoman or her co-star instead?

Instead, Jong Soo is now reduced to a flubbering idiot and sister is nowhere in sight. *Sigh* Don't mind me, just one of my many rants. Anyway, back to the bed/ implied sex scene:

Ha Ji Won talked about some things that were going on behind the camera in SBS's Secret Garden Special that broadcasted on the 22nd. In the program, she revealed, "The shooting schedule was very tight, resulting in a group of actors suffering from the lack of sleep." Which in turn resulted in a sleeping beauty err, Binnie. What was a "sweet love scene" to the audience was in fact a "sleeping scene" (refer to the pic above). Although Ha Ji Won was deeply in character, Hyun Bin already drifted off into Dreamland.

She said: "In the scene I was required to open my eyes wide (as I was shocked), but as I was in deeply acting, Hyun Bin was by my side, sleeping."

According to ratings by AGB Nielsen Media Research, The Story Behind Secret Garden came up to 17.9%, the highest among programs that aired in the same period.

Prada Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Show

Maybe I don't get haute couture, maybe they ran out of dresses at Prada but the whole thing (sans Ha Ji Won) made my eyes hurt. Gong Li (wonderful woman, bless her heart) looks like those mama pimps at the noraebang (don't believe me? Go check out IADD) with Maggie Cheung and Tang Wei looking like they went through a paper shredder. Actresses Ha Ji Won, Cecilia Cheung and Qing Xu faired better/escaped the shredders.

The event was held through the evening on the 22nd January at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Chaoyang, Beijing.

'kay, cover your eyes now:

Is it because Gong Li's getting older, hence the compulsary ahjumma hair?

Apparently not, as Tang Wei evidently showed with her Whoopi-do.

Maggie Cheung easily wins the Worst Dressed, hands down:

HK actress Cecillia Cheung giving us a deer-in-headlights look:

Chinese actress Qing Xu:

She looks familiar but I can't recall who it is:

Ha Ji Won. Her dress looks like the one she wore during the Party Kiss, no?

The dress Maggie Cheung wore:

Tang Wei's (the one in the middle):

The audience:

All in all, a glamorous evening.

Ha Ji Won Arrives At Beijing

She has no make-up, I think. But that doesn't stops her from looking drop dead gorgeous. *Faints* Watching these "real-life" videos are only intensifying my girl-crush on HJW.
Like I've said in my previous post, she'll be in Beijing to attend Prada's Spring 2011 Collection, which is on the 22nd (i.e today). She arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport yesterday (21/1/2011).

Video of her checking-in at Korea's airport:
http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/pOCmuKsptIQ/
And she speaks! *Sigh* Her voice is lovely...

Her arrival at Beijing, and welcomed with a bouquet of red roses:

Giving out some autographs, I wanna:

Woweee this person Pschey must have taken hundreds of photos that day. Thank you and your Canon camera.

And the video of her arrival in China (this vid's of poor quality though):
http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjM4NTkzNjgw.html

If you were wondering what was The Voice was speaking in Chinese, it's someone telling the crowd not to take the pictures with the camera's flash. Despite some people ignoring the request, in this regard I would have to say the Chinese are more thoughtful than their Korean counterparts. Compared to the video above, I thought HJW would go blind (but then again she must be used to it).

Oh, later on a Chinese fan shouted to HJW in Korean: "Unnie, you've worked hard!" And later on, someone said "Hwaiting!" Geh, so sweet.

Watching this vid made me realize another thing. There is NO WAY I'll be able to take a picture under such intense pressure, Canon EOS 4500 or not.

SG Steamy Parody

Oooh, this post have been (deliciously) upped. Dear dc genius, please tell me who you are, 'cause I wanna make banners for you. Your fan foreva, hellochloe.
The following post is restricted to LOEL Department Store Staff. Err, perhaps that is a wee bit restrictive, so let it be for the eyes of die-hard Gardeners only:

Given their love of books, I betcha the triplets will be avid readers too^^

Probably the most decent photo of the lot:

PS must be man's most divine invention. Hallelujah for making the dreams of SG fans all around the world come true.

You're not the only one blushing, sweetie.

Post SG: Where Are They Now

Gardeners (and perhaps the non-Gardeners), I'm sure you know WHO I mean by 'they'.
Hyun Bin Gets Invited To Two Film Festivals
The two Film Festivals are Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF). Whenever this TIFF and PIFF is, it better not be soon 'cause I want Binnie to have some SLEEP and gain some body fat. How can fans peacefully see him off when he looks like he already did the national service?

Before its release, Late Autumn was invited to TIFF and PIFF, where it set a record for the speediest sellout for a screening. It has received glowing reviews from the media and audiences who have seen it and its release on February 17th is highly anticipated.
Hyun Bin's previous project before Secret Garden was a kmovie Come Rain, Come Shine (literal title: Love Me, Love Me Not) with Im Soo-Jung and is set for release on February 24th.
Not only that, the film is the only kmovie finalist for the Berlin International Film Festival (BIFF). Wowee, so he gets TIFF, PIFF and BIFF! Awesome. The 61st Berlin International Film Festival will take place on 10th of next month and is nominated for Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress.

Come Rain, Come Shine is about a couple facing a marital crisis after 5 years of marriage; the wife (Im Soo-Jung) leaves home for another man and Hyun Bin plays the role of her husband and guardian.

Come Rain, Come Shine is directed by Lee Yoon-Ki (who's previous works include This Charming Girl, Ad Lib Night and Breakfast At Tiffany's). The film is funded by the Film Commission of Gyeonggi and is G-cinema first project.

Meanwhile...
