SIGN OST: Good Person by Kim Jin Pyo (feat. Sook Hee) Translated Lyrics

Now here's a song I've been DYING to translate ever since I first heard it, but couldn't due to time constraints... *cough* (what that really means: I was following too many kdramas and translating too many SIWs to sit down and properly decipher translate a song).

Ran into some complications...
First I printed the wrong version of lyrics (not the drama one, the original), so asdfkgjlaskdj. But when I searched for the correct (i.e drama) version, I found that there were several versions of the hangul lyrics, imagine that! Sook Hee's lyrics were fine, but the rap parts! Oh my, Jin Pyo's lines are... asdfgkjllsasdk;jlkl. The hangul lyrics, when pronounced, sounds similar but have a TOTALLY DIFFERENT meaning. So the entire experience, I guess you could say, was punny (pun definitely not intended). And double bummer: Chinese translations that were based on the erroneous hangul version, so I couldn't rely on them too much for cross-checking.

But I really had fun though! I don't mind listening to this song over and over and over and over again, hee :)

The MV:

Translated Lyrics:
Good person, my precious person,
The person who has been protecting me all this time
The person who held me through stormy days,
How can I ever forget you?

The love that you wanted, it's my wish too
But we parted when I returned, no way, that's not what I wanted
The love that you wanted, it's my wish too
But we parted when I returned, no way, that's not what I wanted

My heart is going crazy, crazy for you, you're still here in my head

In the corner of my heart, fond memories of us still remain
That's right, back then... instantly I'm flooded with memories of you

Good person, my precious person,
The person who has been protecting me all this time
The person who held me through stormy days,
How can I ever forget you?
Ohh Oooh~
Ahhh~

Uh, uh
No matter how much I try to forget you
No matter how drunk I get
Without you, I'm in despair
Unfortunately, the yearning only increases
Overnight, the wound still remains
All the sadness of the world on me alone
Where did it all go wrong?
It's a tangled, endless, unending path

If loving you is a sin, if having unresolved feelings is a sin,
I guess these memories are my punishment

Too easily, bye bye bye
Everyday, I cry cry cry
Please answer me, tell me why why

I love you,
Please accept my heart
"I love you,"
I'm shouting to the world
Trapped in sorrow, I'm in tears
Where are you right now?

Love is a terrible disease
It hurts your heart so
As time passes,
I'll recover
My once dearly beloved...

Good person, my precious person
The person who has been protecting me all this time,
The person who held me through stormy days,
How can I ever forget you?

I'm so good, I can't even protect you
This useless person you once loved,
Still can't forget you

The reflection in the mirror looks gaunt
 Today I prayed again...
A wish for you,
May you be happy wherever you are

Chloe Says: WOW. Did you realize? This song is fucking EPIC - there's practically a whole kdrama plot in here! As I was translating, I kept having visions of A Time To Kill, with a dash of Green Rose mixed in. This song would totally suit those two shows! As opposed to a CSI dramedy show, don't cha think?? :D

Translation notes: Purple - originally sung in English.

Spoiler In Words: Romance Town Episode 5

When kdrama men piss off their woman by belittling their worth (Best Love: "Stay for the night", RoTo: "You just want to seduce a rich man, don't you?). Kdrama heroines will immediately feel offended by the idea that they could be bought for money and start to cry (although in less grave situations, some do get pissed off and kick ass). This time around, I think Sung Yuri's Puss in Boots-like eyes won over Gong Hyo Jin's cries over fallen potatoes.

Perhaps I'm bias over anything RoTo, or maybe it's because one could only lament over soju, while the other has the ultimate hot geek Yoon Kye Sang's shoulder to cry on. Whadduthink?

Spoiler In Words
When the maids discovered that they have won the forth prize, they are busy contemplating on how to spend the money. Meanwhile Soon Geum who has won the first prize brought her money to the real estate agency, and Young Hee discovers that she is using 1.5 billion to buy a house.
When Driver Oh calls Gun Woo to tell him that he saw Choon Jak halmoni, Gun Woo immediately rushes out of the department store. And then a beautiful lady clothe in designer brands worth 18 million appeared in front of him. Gun Woo has an immediate crush on her, and he hands her his coffee card that has already been stamped with 10 stamps...
Chloe Says: RoTo is just wacky like that! A coffee card to hit on a lady? You rock, Show lol.

Spoiler In Words: Romance Town Episode 4

For those who felt that Gun Woo needed a kick where it hurts the most, don't be. For Gun Woo will probably be a pauper soon, notwithstanding the fact that Soon Geum will come upon 13 million USD. Oh, the irony of life.
What can I say? Karma sucks, dude, so play nice this time around.

Spoiler In Words
Soon Geum has a mountain load of family issues, plus the fact that she wants to spend the money so badly but couldn't, all these has made her ill.
Gun Woo's dad confiscates his credit cards, car and even the few bills left in his wallet. He warns Gun Woo, if he refuses to work he will be a pauper who does not even have 10 won in his pocket.
Gun Woo would never in his wildest dreams thought of the possibility that Soon Geum would be richer than him, he even states that she must have came into this house in hopes of seducing a rich man...

Spoiler In Words: Romance Town Episode 3

Ro-o-omance Town, romance town! I'm so in town for this one: No surprise on which trendy that has captured my heart, surpassing even the bigger names and more hyped-about ones. I guess that's the charm of the writer, who wrote Pasta that turned out to be an word-of-mouth hit through kdrama grapevines.
On Rainy Days - BEAST

I'm currently on a mission to pimp the show, so if you see me in Darksmurf or viki doing subs, please say hi :)

Sung Yuri Shares Romance Town Anecdotes In Press Conference

RT still manages to surprise me after 2 trailers. Sure, I knew she bought the lottery, but I didn't expect her to actually win it. And keep the money. And continues to work as a maid

And the fact that Soon Geum is "bold", "fearless" and "unafraid to work hard"? Try loud mouth, as in your mouth-operates-faster-than-the-brain-but-slower-than-her-actions type of gal.
Damn I love this show already.

Back To Basics: Sung Yuri enlists the help of Fin.K.L's choreographer and dance teacher
During the press conference held at 3 PM on the 3rd recently, a trailer was unveiled to the press. And in it Song Yuri was seen in a blond wig dancing her butt off (I meant that figuratively. Maybe.).
What she said about the scene: "I felt a lot of pressure for the night club scene, so I went to Fin.K.L's dance teacher to re-learn everything again...during the scene when I was closing my eyes and dancing hard, my wig nearly came off!"

On seeing Sung Yuri dance, co-star Jung Gyu Woon said: "(She is) indeed an ex-idol, it's just different and worth watching."
In the show, Sung Yuri plays a No Soon Geum whose mouth is faster than her brain, and whose actions are faster than her mouth. Rather than studying, she enjoys rough sports; rather than men, she's more afraid of money.

When she bought the occasional lottery and made an unexpected windfall, she continues to work as a maid to conceal the 10 billion won (currently USD 9.25 million) she won.
Sung Yuri on her character: "No Soon Geum is a character I want to play. She says whatever she wants, thinks the world revolves around her, she's innocent and sassy at the same time, your typical blood type B woman (*think B for Bad Personality, the infamous character Lee Dong Gun played in My Boyfriend Is Type B). Thanks to her (character), shooting has been very interesting and there are a lot of memorable moments."
Romance Town tells the story of such a maid, on people and money, and love over money.

D-day is 11th May peeps! Mark it down on your calendars<3

Spoiler In Words: Romance Town Ep. 1 (err, Version 2.0?) + Teaser II

Looks like KBS released another SIW along with the 2nd teaser. (more like the 1st one vanished, heh). What happened?? Perhaps they thought it was TMI and they want to keep it mysterious?
Kiss And Tell - The Black Skirts

Grreaatt. Now it will be TTMI (Too Too Much Info) for those who'd already read the first one.

Spoiler In Words (2nd Version)
As the only two female students in the whole school, Soon Geum and Shi Ah are good friends.
The mom who did everything she could to keep her daughter from becoming a maid like her; the college tuition she painstakingly saved for four years has been taken away my dad in the middle of the night...

Soon Geum arrives at the hotel in an attempt to stop Shi Ah from becoming a "female companion". There she bumps into Gun Woo and despite unwilling to, she pays the tab for the beer on his behalf.
Soon Geum writes her number on a napkin and hands it to Gun Woo. And the place that she went to after receiving a call to get the money back turns out to be Gangnam-gu, the superfabulously rich district. And the maids in the household, they all looked at Soon Geum with deference in their eyes...

#2 Teaser - I love the direction they are going with the series and if this is how it is, I'm tuning it for sure! Crackling chemistry between Yuri and Jung Gyu Woon and I want to see more :D

Spoiler In Words: Romance Town Episode 1 + Teaser I

Syururup - Monday Kiz (wow...the piano O_O)

Ok, it is OFFICIAL now. I want to watch everything. As in, ALL the May dramas. Please, networks, you can stop coming up with nice dramas now. Do that at a later date please. And this spoiler...I dunno if this is a new strategy that KBS came up or something, but I'm definitely interested now. It reads like a novel and I find myself imagining the scenes. Now I wanna watch it live-action!

Spoiler In Words (1st Version)
No Soon Geum comes from a household where her grandmother was a maid, and so was her mom. Her mom is strongly against her going through the same path as her (i.e maid), and hence ever since high school she has studied hard and poured herself into working hard to earn money.
Time passed, and the mom who has been a maid her whole life, passed away. Her dad, who's a gambler comes to find her to fund his habit every now and then. Just like that, life continues to go on as usual, with her not having any particular talents nor skill.

Meanwhile, a 150 kg heavy "prince" (I reckon y'all know who this is yeah) from a wealthy family loses his wallet during his farewell ceremony to New York for studies. Somehow Soon Geum who's at the hotel to find a friend, gets roped into this and ended up paying for the drinks with her rent money.

No matter what, Soon Geum has to get the money back, and she ends up at Gun Woo's (Jung Gyu Woon) house. He looks like a honest and sincere man right now, unlike when he blackmailed her for money. At Gun Woo's request, she leaves him her phone number as she leaves hurriedly to deal with her dad's mess (gambling stuff, I presume). During that short encounter, Soon Geum has made a favorable impression on Gun Woo.
So, are they pen pals or somethin'?
3 years later at a certain house, despite her mom's bid for her to never become a maid, Soon Geum has become one. When she wins one of her weekly rounds of Hwa-Tu (Korean poker), she decides to buy a lottery ticket. She puts the tickets everyone else bought in her left pocket and hers on the right.
Also on this day, Gun Woo returns. Not only that, he's completely a different man as he steps into the household...

Chloe Says: Wowza, if only all spoilers are written like this huh? If it were anything less than this, I don't think I'd be interested. I'm suppose to be tuning to Lie To Me, Best Love and Baby-faced Beauty. But now I'm hooked. Siiigh.

Spoiler(?) In Words: Sign Ep. 12

Ooops...is it still Spoiler In Words if the episode has already aired? Never mind, this are the consequences if one has overslept due to not sleeping earlier. You compensate Zzzz....
It ain't a scalpel, it's a tweezer.

Spoiler In Words (kinda)

Spoiler In Words: Sign Episode 11

And more lies and deceit unveils. Honestly, other than the main two characters, I dunno what to think of the people around them anymore. Mr. Bowtie is NOT evil? Then where does that put Mr. Jung? My mind is reeling.

Spoiler In Words
In the living room, Da Kyung, Ji Hoon and Mr. Jung are drinking tea. Through that, they unconsciously formed a camaraderie between the three of them. Mr.Jung reminiscence of what happened 20 years ago, when himself, Lee Myung Han and Kang Ji Hyeon were best of friends and still full of enthusiasm for forensics despite the harsh conditions.

On the other hand, Ji Hoon finds an unsigned letter in his own office. It only reads: "NFS Yoon Ji Hoon Medical Examiner". The envelope contains a snarl of a case, a 1991 news headline that went "The Nation's Best Conglomerate Backbone Cadre Dead"...

Spoiler In Words: Sign Ep. 9 & 10

I am halfway through Sign now and things turn fun when the characters are established in the 3rd episode - Park Shin Yang's character is too funnyy. I don't know whether it is intended or not since he's suppose to be the gruff perfectionist, but he cracks me up at every turn. Every time he yells (it's REALLY loud, by the way), I'm smiling amusedly in return. There's just something childish about his character - but then I realize that I tend to do this when a said character of a kdrama is trying to be serious (for instance like Kim Jae Wook in M3). Oh, I am also having major envy on Kim Ah Joong - she got to pinch his cheeks!
How I'd love to do this, PSY has got such pinchable cheeks *yearn*

Just happened to stumble into this track from and I love it; from G.NA's latest album, Black & White:
I Miss You Already - G.NA feat. 2AM's Jinwoon

Spoiler In Words Episode 9
Ji Hoon is doubtful over the autopsy report and thus went to the location the shootout occured. When Myung Han found out about the news, he instructed his men to quickly find Kim Jong Ho. From the bloodstains at the scene Ji Hoon deducted that Kim Jong Ho was not the culprit, but in fact the victim in the shooting. And the evidence which could be found if they find Kim Jong Ho is like a ticking time bomb.
Later on Kim Jong Ho finally dies. Yi Han and Da Kyung confirm his identity at the morgue. They intend to perform an autopsy to reveal the truth of the case, but because of the opposition from the family members the said autopsy cannot be done. Although Da Kyung knows that performing one without authorization would be against the law, in order to expose the truth, she raises the scalpel!

Spoiler In Words Episode 10
Da Kyung who insists on performing the autopsy without the authority to do so receives a notice of dissmisal from the NFS. All the evidence obtained through the autopsy is retrieved by the police. Although Ji Hoon and Da Kyung had exposed the truth, they can no longer get involved and thus have no choice but to believe in the NFS.
On the other hand, Yi Han and Woo Jin goes to find the Chief of the Inspection Division, Choi Jung Sub. They explained the particulars of the case and told him that the prosecutor for the case, Park Yong Jun is suspected of concealing the truth.

As much as the Chief wishes to cover the truth of the case, under Woo Jin's steely glare and the fact that they have already uncover Yang Jong Su and Kim Jong Ho's real killer, his name and all the relevant details, the case is transfered from Prosecutor Park Yong Jun to Woo Jin.

Spoiler In Words: Sign Episode 8

Boy, SIWs for dramas of this genre is really something else...despite not knowing anything (I just started) I am DYING to know what's going on. The whole thing sounds like a thriller more than a CSI-type analysis of the crime scene. Yay for more human stories! I always wished that was the case for America's people-stingy CSI.
Spoiler In Words
Because the case involves a gang-related shootout in the underworld organization, it has received much media attention; even the news of the of Kim Jong Ho's escape, one of the gang members and the prime suspect has been reported. Yi Han questions one of the gang members, Dong Gu on the whereabouts of Kim Jong Ho, but it seems that the culprit is someone else..

Meanwhile, Da Kyung and Ji Hoon is struggling alone in Japan. Reiko, the assistant professor in the local forensic department introduced them to a woman by the name of Kang Seo Yeon. Ji Hoon feels that there's something strange about this woman. He brings up the question: Has he met her before? She only gave him a vague answer about how she completely understands this person Yoon Ji Hoon. The more they converse the more Da Kyung and Ji Hoon felt that this woman give them the creeps.

Seo Yeon looked at them, as cool as a cucumber and slowly stood up to leave. Only when facing her parting figure did the two realize who she was! She's the Brown Coat in Seo Yoon Hyung's case!

The said woman, Kang Seo Yeon:
