SIW & A Preview Transcript: Can You Hear My Heart? Ep. 20

Jin Chul wants to destroy Jun Ha that took him for a ride; he gets WooKyung's semiconductor investors want to sue Jun Ha with embezzlement charges.
Dong Joo calls Min Soo, and asks her to get Director Kang to hold a large number of WooKyung Group's shares. 

Upon hearing that flyers of Ma Roo's montages is pasted at the hospital, Jun Ha rushes there. Young Kyu is sadden by the fact that grandma doesn't recognize him. 

Episode Preview:

Jun Ha : It isn't me you are looking for right?
Shin Ae: The montage and Dr. Jang looks similar, don't you think?


Woo Ri: Dr. Jang Jun Ha
Seung Chul: It's not Cha Dong Joo?
Woo Ri: But he said he won't be my oppa...
Seung Chul: I'll be your oppa then!


Jun Ha: I can't even be your brother. This bastard... he's Choi Jin Chul's son, what will you do?


Grandma: Did you see my Young Kyu?
Young Kyu: Mom, mom, I'm Young Kyu. Your best son, Young Kyu! 


Dong Joo: Hyung, there's a problem, we need to quickly go now.
Grandma: Take this with you, child.
Young Kyu: Mr. Cha Dong Joo!
Jun Ha: Why must you make me the bad guy till the end?  I can't even hate you like this...

Knowing that Jin Chul is his father, Jun Ha tells grandma to wait and see what he will do in the future, and left. 

Grandma is sent to the emergency room. Dong Joo is disappointed in himself for not having the power to help Woo Ri at all. Woo Ri meets with Jun Ha, and she has some last few words to say to Ma Roo oppa...


Episode 19 Preview:

Grandma: Ma Roo...
Jun Ha: I will find out who turned me into this state.


Dong Joo's mom: How can you let them do these things at the hospital?! You should stop them!


Someone (sent by Dong Joo's mom): You can't stick these here.
Shin Ae: Weren't you informed?


Woo Ri: Grandma...
Dong Joo: Woo Ri, tell them the location.


Shin Ae: I'm Kim Shin Ae, get the president on the phone, now.


Dong Joo: What's so complicated here? If you cannot hear, you can't even be a guardian.
Seung Chul: You haven't done the procedures yet? What are you doing?
Dong Joo: I couldn't be of any help, I'm sorry.


Mi Sook: If you have time to seduce the president, treat your mom a little...
Shin Ae: You... !
Mi Sook: Don't forget, this is your duty.


Woo Ri: Go, I'll tell you later. I'll be back soon. I keep my promises.

Hmmm...it's only mid-way through the series, but I wonder how this show will end. In my experience long-ish shows like this have a Very Happy Ending Everly After, which includes all the bad guys seeing the light and attempt to do so much good stuff you'd think they're applying for sainthood. 

But oh no, that ain't good enough for me, I wanna see Shin Ae and hubby rot in hell for all eternity. Pretty please?

Dong Joo witnesses Jun Ha doing something like a kiss to Woo Ri, and Jun Ha finds out about Woo Ri's relationship with Dong Joo. It's the start of a subtle war of nerves between the three, and Woo Ri panics seeing how Jun Ha is right now. 

Young Kyu meets with a lady who looks exactly like Mi Sook, who works as a beauty consultant behind the counter. And she decides to hire Young Kyu as part of the crew?


Chloe Says: Wow "exactly the same"...really? I hope Show doesn't jump the shark like Once Upon A Time In Saengchori did with it's ending (which I thought was super-weird, no matter how philosophically meaningful it's suppose to be).

You Never Know - Clazziquai

Hearing's Dong Joo's angry voice, Joon Ha goes and find him. Woo Ri finds the troubled Dong Joo at the park and comforts him. She tells Joon Ha that they're both at the park. The president tells his wife not to suck his blood anymore and sends Dong Joo to the U.S. 

Because of the rumors spreading in Dong Joo's company, the company's stock prices fall. The president finds out that Dong Joo has bought significant amounts of the company's shares...(ooh, this brings back memories of Midas. Black knight!)

Sorry for the so many names mentioned in the previous SIWs, now that I've caught up on the episodes I can recognize the names and change them to more familiar terms (i.e grandma, Dong Joo's mom, dad, etc). So hopefully you will have an easier time reading <(_ _)>

I find it refreshing that the revenge scheme in this show does not veer towards the makjang path. No shouting, no confrontations, just pure delicious evilness, the unspoken promise of I'll-get-you-back. The antagonist, the C.E.O of WooKyung Group is so vicious he makes Bae Soo Bin (*in 49 Days) look like a wussy.

Joon Ha sees Woo Ri crying while hugging Dong Joo. Woo Ri wants her dad to keep the fact that Dong Joo is hearing impaired a secret. Shin Ae sort out Joon Ha's photo(s) grandma put away. 

Joon Ha tells his mom that he has accepted Dong Joo's father's proposal to headhunt him, and that he has decided to go to America. A scandal has erupted in Dong Joo's cosmetic business, and he sets out to find out who is behind the malicious rumors...


Chloe Says: Why is it that fictional America is the place to go to in kdramas? Is it really that popular a destination, or does that just apply in dramalandia? Maybe it's has some sort of unspoken status attached to it ("You haven't made it till you make it to America"), hmm...

Dong Joo wants his mom to send Joon Ha to Woo Ri and Young Kyu. And for that his mom slaps Dong Joo across the face. Woo Ri who saw the whole thing is shocked. 

Knowing that Joon Ha is really Ma Roo, Granny Soon Geum asks him to return but Joon Ha tells her to treat Ma Roo like he's already dead. 


Granny Soon Geum sees that Young Kyu is still longing for Ma Roo...

Now, here is one childhood-to-adult romance drama drama after my heart. Never mind the fact that I have yet to finish episode 1, every gut in my dramaddict™ instinct tells me so. Therefore I figured that I'd better post something up on the drama before I regret not doing so.

Upon hearing the news that Dong Joo and Woo Ri are together, Joon Ha is afraid that Woo Ri will discover that Dong Joo is hearing impaired. He rushes crazily to Dong Joo's house and tells Woo Ri straight up that Dong Joo has forgotten all his childhood memories. 

Dong Joo's cosmetic factory has started its operations again, however his dad puts pressure on Dong Joo's factory by collaborating with their direct competitors. Dong Joo is afraid that his rivalry with Jin Chul will affect Joon Ha and his mom, Dong Joo is determined to solve all the problems himself...
