SIGN OST: Good Person by Kim Jin Pyo (feat. Sook Hee) Translated Lyrics

Now here's a song I've been DYING to translate ever since I first heard it, but couldn't due to time constraints... *cough* (what that really means: I was following too many kdramas and translating too many SIWs to sit down and properly decipher translate a song).

Ran into some complications...
First I printed the wrong version of lyrics (not the drama one, the original), so asdfkgjlaskdj. But when I searched for the correct (i.e drama) version, I found that there were several versions of the hangul lyrics, imagine that! Sook Hee's lyrics were fine, but the rap parts! Oh my, Jin Pyo's lines are... asdfgkjllsasdk;jlkl. The hangul lyrics, when pronounced, sounds similar but have a TOTALLY DIFFERENT meaning. So the entire experience, I guess you could say, was punny (pun definitely not intended). And double bummer: Chinese translations that were based on the erroneous hangul version, so I couldn't rely on them too much for cross-checking.

But I really had fun though! I don't mind listening to this song over and over and over and over again, hee :)

The MV:

Translated Lyrics:
Good person, my precious person,
The person who has been protecting me all this time
The person who held me through stormy days,
How can I ever forget you?

The love that you wanted, it's my wish too
But we parted when I returned, no way, that's not what I wanted
The love that you wanted, it's my wish too
But we parted when I returned, no way, that's not what I wanted

My heart is going crazy, crazy for you, you're still here in my head

In the corner of my heart, fond memories of us still remain
That's right, back then... instantly I'm flooded with memories of you

Good person, my precious person,
The person who has been protecting me all this time
The person who held me through stormy days,
How can I ever forget you?
Ohh Oooh~
Ahhh~

Uh, uh
No matter how much I try to forget you
No matter how drunk I get
Without you, I'm in despair
Unfortunately, the yearning only increases
Overnight, the wound still remains
All the sadness of the world on me alone
Where did it all go wrong?
It's a tangled, endless, unending path

If loving you is a sin, if having unresolved feelings is a sin,
I guess these memories are my punishment

Too easily, bye bye bye
Everyday, I cry cry cry
Please answer me, tell me why why

I love you,
Please accept my heart
"I love you,"
I'm shouting to the world
Trapped in sorrow, I'm in tears
Where are you right now?

Love is a terrible disease
It hurts your heart so
As time passes,
I'll recover
My once dearly beloved...

Good person, my precious person
The person who has been protecting me all this time,
The person who held me through stormy days,
How can I ever forget you?

I'm so good, I can't even protect you
This useless person you once loved,
Still can't forget you

The reflection in the mirror looks gaunt
 Today I prayed again...
A wish for you,
May you be happy wherever you are

Chloe Says: WOW. Did you realize? This song is fucking EPIC - there's practically a whole kdrama plot in here! As I was translating, I kept having visions of A Time To Kill, with a dash of Green Rose mixed in. This song would totally suit those two shows! As opposed to a CSI dramedy show, don't cha think?? :D

Translation notes: Purple - originally sung in English.

Spoiler In Words: Sign Ep. 14

Oooh...another spooky SIW since Episode 7's hit and run case. Meanwhile, am glad to see Sign doing well. The show has earned it's share in advertising revenue alone. I'm not sure how much, but it's in the billions (*in won). *applause*
Because Of Me - f(x) Kyrstal (from the latest Sign OST)

Spoiler In Words

Spoiler In Words: Sign Ep. 13

Spoiler In Words

Da Kyung, Woo Jin, Yi Han looks at him with disbelieve while Lee Myung Han and Jeong Che Yong raises a smile. In the end the results was not to prosecute Jeong Che Yong, and he faced the barrage of reporters' questions with a smile and calmly walked on. Seeing this Da Kyung could not stomach this injustice. Intending to reverse the non-prosecution decision, Woo Jin is determined to find new evidence to bring up prosecution again...
On the other hand, Ji Hoon arrives at Mr. Jung's grave and looks at it mournfully. After a while, he slowly turned around only to see Lee Myung Han standing right where he could see him...

Spoiler(?) In Words: Sign Ep. 12

Ooops...is it still Spoiler In Words if the episode has already aired? Never mind, this are the consequences if one has overslept due to not sleeping earlier. You compensate Zzzz....
It ain't a scalpel, it's a tweezer.

Spoiler In Words (kinda)
Because Mr. Jung has suddenly committed suicide (omo! Whaaaat?!), Ji Hoon who could not comprehend the reason behind it is in shock. At last he finds Lee Myung Han and questions him on what he had said to Mr. Jung. Instead Lee Myung Han said to him that there is a secret that should not be mentioned again. Upon hearing that Ji Hoon is only more committed to find it out.
In the Han Yong Corporation the bizarre continuous deaths similar to what has occurred 20 years ago has happened yet again. In order to proved that the last victim Han Tae Ju's death was a homicide,  he steps into the autopsy room with determination, while Da Kyung stands beside him, aiding him.

Chloe Says: Again, I'm so sorry for the late SIW! Hope you find this of use anyway.

Spoiler In Words: Sign Episode 11

And more lies and deceit unveils. Honestly, other than the main two characters, I dunno what to think of the people around them anymore. Mr. Bowtie is NOT evil? Then where does that put Mr. Jung? My mind is reeling.

Spoiler In Words
In the living room, Da Kyung, Ji Hoon and Mr. Jung are drinking tea. Through that, they unconsciously formed a camaraderie between the three of them. Mr.Jung reminiscence of what happened 20 years ago, when himself, Lee Myung Han and Kang Ji Hyeon were best of friends and still full of enthusiasm for forensics despite the harsh conditions.

On the other hand, Ji Hoon finds an unsigned letter in his own office. It only reads: "NFS Yoon Ji Hoon Medical Examiner". The envelope contains a snarl of a case, a 1991 news headline that went "The Nation's Best Conglomerate Backbone Cadre Dead"...

Spoiler In Words: Sign Ep. 9 & 10

I am halfway through Sign now and things turn fun when the characters are established in the 3rd episode - Park Shin Yang's character is too funnyy. I don't know whether it is intended or not since he's suppose to be the gruff perfectionist, but he cracks me up at every turn. Every time he yells (it's REALLY loud, by the way), I'm smiling amusedly in return. There's just something childish about his character - but then I realize that I tend to do this when a said character of a kdrama is trying to be serious (for instance like Kim Jae Wook in M3). Oh, I am also having major envy on Kim Ah Joong - she got to pinch his cheeks!
How I'd love to do this, PSY has got such pinchable cheeks *yearn*

Just happened to stumble into this track from and I love it; from G.NA's latest album, Black & White:
I Miss You Already - G.NA feat. 2AM's Jinwoon

Spoiler In Words Episode 9
Ji Hoon is doubtful over the autopsy report and thus went to the location the shootout occured. When Myung Han found out about the news, he instructed his men to quickly find Kim Jong Ho. From the bloodstains at the scene Ji Hoon deducted that Kim Jong Ho was not the culprit, but in fact the victim in the shooting. And the evidence which could be found if they find Kim Jong Ho is like a ticking time bomb.
Later on Kim Jong Ho finally dies. Yi Han and Da Kyung confirm his identity at the morgue. They intend to perform an autopsy to reveal the truth of the case, but because of the opposition from the family members the said autopsy cannot be done. Although Da Kyung knows that performing one without authorization would be against the law, in order to expose the truth, she raises the scalpel!

Spoiler In Words Episode 10
Da Kyung who insists on performing the autopsy without the authority to do so receives a notice of dissmisal from the NFS. All the evidence obtained through the autopsy is retrieved by the police. Although Ji Hoon and Da Kyung had exposed the truth, they can no longer get involved and thus have no choice but to believe in the NFS.
On the other hand, Yi Han and Woo Jin goes to find the Chief of the Inspection Division, Choi Jung Sub. They explained the particulars of the case and told him that the prosecutor for the case, Park Yong Jun is suspected of concealing the truth.

As much as the Chief wishes to cover the truth of the case, under Woo Jin's steely glare and the fact that they have already uncover Yang Jong Su and Kim Jong Ho's real killer, his name and all the relevant details, the case is transfered from Prosecutor Park Yong Jun to Woo Jin.

Spoiler In Words: Sign Episode 8

Boy, SIWs for dramas of this genre is really something else...despite not knowing anything (I just started) I am DYING to know what's going on. The whole thing sounds like a thriller more than a CSI-type analysis of the crime scene. Yay for more human stories! I always wished that was the case for America's people-stingy CSI.
Spoiler In Words
Because the case involves a gang-related shootout in the underworld organization, it has received much media attention; even the news of the of Kim Jong Ho's escape, one of the gang members and the prime suspect has been reported. Yi Han questions one of the gang members, Dong Gu on the whereabouts of Kim Jong Ho, but it seems that the culprit is someone else..

Meanwhile, Da Kyung and Ji Hoon is struggling alone in Japan. Reiko, the assistant professor in the local forensic department introduced them to a woman by the name of Kang Seo Yeon. Ji Hoon feels that there's something strange about this woman. He brings up the question: Has he met her before? She only gave him a vague answer about how she completely understands this person Yoon Ji Hoon. The more they converse the more Da Kyung and Ji Hoon felt that this woman give them the creeps.

Seo Yeon looked at them, as cool as a cucumber and slowly stood up to leave. Only when facing her parting figure did the two realize who she was! She's the Brown Coat in Seo Yoon Hyung's case!

The said woman, Kang Seo Yeon:
She's a relative newbie in the industry; host of Channel [V] 'Style '

Spoiler In Words: Sign Episode 7

I have my sights set on this drama for the Chinese New Year hols, I barely watched seconds of this first episode and I'm already hooked by the dramatic tension going on. Am bracing myself for some uncensored autopsy scenes - boy, do I sound like a wussy (I blame the government and their TV censorship policy).

Spoiler In Words

Woo Jin interrogates Lee Jeong-beom again, questioning him whether it's out of fear he refuses to divulge: that he witnessed his son killing and is afraid. In the end Lee Jeong-beom tells her the possible places Ahn Soo Hyun would be in.

She grit her teeth and runs, and through the fog she sees the police cars and officers. But it looks like the truck is going to run her over, Da Kyung is caught in a crisis! And, what will be the outcome of the serial killer case?
Meanwhile in Japan the bones of whom is suspected to be a Korean has been uncovered. The minister thinks it's a new case, and sends Ji Hoon for a trip to Japan.

Sign OST MVs and SIW: Episode 6

Wow this is the first time I have translated such a suspenseful SIW. Hope it ends comically.
As Ji Hoon and Da Kyung survey the scene where the body was found, they came across an abandoned farm at the foot of the hill. Looking for traces left by the perpetrator, she discovers a car with an eagle logo, and the logo even has traces of the crime that happened.

She was looking around and walked into the building when a white hand that came out from nowhere tapped her shoulder. Da Kyung fled screaming in panic and a shadow follows her! She runs in panic but hits a dead end. As she looks to the back with desperation in her eyes, there's something that is fast approaching her. What should she do? After a quick scan on her surroundings, there wasn't a place for her to hide or escape.

Meanwhile, Ji Hoon is scared when Da Kyung suddenly hangs up on him. He calls Woo Jin to quickly bring the police to the crime scene and he begins to find her himself...

Two MV's, the first one is the song I posted in Episode 5's SIW, Good Person by Suk Hee and Kim Jin Pyo

And this, Day of Seperation by a favorite band of mine, Supernova:

They're so cute!

Sign's Ep. 5 SIW And Stills From Their Filming In Japan

Ew ew ew ew ewwwww. This drama is definitely not for the faint hearted - it's infinitely more graphic than CSI or their Japanese counterparts. I just saw the part where they were performing the post-mortem examination on the dead body and as they slice and dice every nearly every part of the body, the only thing that kept me watching was the fact that it's fake. "It's just a show, it's not real, those are rubber dolls" is what I keep convincing myself. *Heaves*
The not so icky moments.

Oh I'm so in love with this song - such good rapping from Kim Jin Pyo! I recognize his name because I reported on his son wearing a Bling Bling Tracksuit from SG
Good Person - Suk Hee & Kim Jin Pyo (Sign OST)

Spoiler In Words
Ji Hoon struggles to see the body with the UV lighting retrieved from the noraebang. Under the faint light, he discovers an eagle mark on the victim's chest.

Myung Han thinks its no ordinary hit-and-run case; Ji Hoon finds a similar mark on the deceased's foot. Therefore he concluded that the same vehicle did these.

Meanwhile, Yi Han who's looking for further evidence related to the arson case stops near the Western branch and chanced upon Ji Hoon's autopsy report. He reports back to Woo Jin that it could be serial murders.

Seeing this stills make me wanna go visit Japan again. Such a beautiful country:

Uom Ji-won makes a wish.

Heh. Park Shin Yang looks so adorkable here.

It's sure not the scenery they're taking pictures of.

Japanese 101: Konnichiwa!

Spoiler In Words: Sign Ep.1 + Stills

Sign and My Princess might have the same premier date, but S is churning out their spoiler goodies earlier in hopes of garnering more interest before the big day. Which is understandable, since the other show involves bigger names -Kim Tae Hee and SSH.
A boy band's member demise...whodunnit?

While I can't vouch for the citizens of Korea, but for the online community, I think it's kind of obvious which show everyone's more excited/curious about. I'm sensing nil attention for this drama, which is sad because I'm itching for a good investigation series for a while now.

Usually I get my supply of investigation-crack from j-dramas (this year's Shinzanmono was mind-blowing), but venturing into the lesser known territory of kdrama sounds fun. And there's always the fact that there'll be more followers if Episode 1 turned out good. I just hope the technical scenes are realistic enough.

Spoiler In Words
The whole of Korea's in love with this group of young men! Fans from Japan, China, Southeast Asia...more than thirty thousand of them have gathered to cheer for Voice, four-member kpop group. The concert is in full swing.
Leader Yoon Hyung, Juno, Miki and Jay; not only do they have refined looks like a sculpture but they have a beast-like enigma to them as well. Each showed their personal charisma on stage and the concert was a blast. When it was time for the fireworks finale, Yoon Hyung was suppose to appear with a bang! onstage. But when the lights went on, the stage was empty. At this moment, a scream was heard in the dressing room.

The crime scene was chaotic; the investigators are total newbies; there are innumerable amount of suspects and ZERO evidence! The only thing they have is Yoon Hyung's dead body.

Band members turned murder suspects?

New Stills, And 2nd Batch Of (Better) Posters For Sign

Wow...this is unexpected. I actually get to see a happy face on Sign (although, this is from their "past"). I admit, I'm still stuck on thinking Eom Ji Won as Da Jung in The Woman Who Still Wants To Marry. And this is something she would have done herself. Kekeke.

Can we get more of this adorableness on the show, pleaseee?

And on a happy note, I conclude that this batch of posters are much, much better. Though I would've prefered a dimpled Park Shin Yang, I guess it's to much to ask out of his character (he plays a cold perfectionist). At least this time there're no cheesy poses with guns and scapels.

Eom Ji Won channeling some Boo Ki coolness from The Woman Who Still Wants To Marry.

I admit, I still find Jung Gyu Woon sporting a 'stache weird. I much prefer his look in Dr. Champ. And why am I getting an emo vibe from him? From EVERYONE?

Daemul's Replacement, "Sign" Poster Shoots

It's been awhile since I've seen Park Shin Yang, and now he's back with a medical investigation series, Sign. That being said, can someone tell me why he's wearing a tux holding some kind of medical apparatus? What an odd combo.

That's better.

Anyway, Sign will be our first kdrama serving for the new year as it is slotted for a 5th of January release and will be replacing Daemul for the Wednesday-Thursday's slot at 9.55 PM (KST).

I've watch medical dramas before, but that was about doctors and this is more...CSI? I dunno, the whole medical thing as a backdrop sounds kinda boring. But that was what I thought of Dr.Champ before...before it turn out to be epic proportions of awesomely AWESOME. So let's keep an open mind :)

Sounds good, huh? Too bad co-stars Uhm Ji Won and Dr. Champ hottie Jung Gyu Woon are not in sight.
