Ahhh I absolutely hate it when I'm falling behind dramas, but it's sort of lucky they extended two more episodes for this show - now I can personally bid it goodbye, I'm still falling behind due to my Taiwan trip but I plan to catch up this weekend.
I forgot which Melo Breeze (I think it was the ending theme for Smile, You) song the Afro dude sang badly, but I remember LOL-ing so hard at that scene.
Vis a Vis - Melo Breeze
Episode 16's SIW
After Se Yeon returns home, Jin Goo's family prepares food to send to Hyuk Gi's hideout. Due to Jong Suk's threatening call, Daddy Eun and the whole family is extremely nervous; Daddy Eun then follows Jin Goo's dad advice and decides to go to the hospital.
Jong Suk continues to avoid responsibility, which frustrates his father to no end (hc: hate to tell you this dad, but you've raised a sociopath). In the meantime, Byung Chun's testimony further confirms Jong Suk's guilt. The Wook Gi filled with anger wants to bash Jong Suk up, but Hyuk Gi advises him against it. He is confidently preparing for the next court session.
In the end Jong Suk is sent to the police due to his involvement in the hit-and-run case. Chae Ryung's mom and Man Soo is also able to return home now.
Episode 17's SIW
It's the start of the second trial, and Byung Chun and Jin Goo's dad stand as witnesses. Due to the their testimony and the lack of evidence to convict Daddy Eun as the killer of Duk Gi, the verdict was that Daddy Eun was innocent and acted in self-defense.
Jong Suk was also found not guilty due to insufficient evidence, but because he forged documents and ran away from the scene of the crime, he was thereby sentence a year behind bars (WHAT?!! A paltry one year for ending someone's life?! There's no justice in the world I tell you).
After the verdict, Hyuk Gi prepares for his judicial examination while Chae Ryung who has been working in the cafe is sent to the China branch. Just like that, the two who are working hard towards their goals are separated for 4 years...

Spoiler In Words: IADD Ep. 12 & 13
I swear, sometimes translating SIWs makes me want to tear the hair off my head. Calling it cracking a Leonardo da Vinci code wouldn't be far off. Don't believe me? Every sentence is so goddamn long like this, mix in a couple of disjointed scenarios here and you have no idea what the hell is going on in this sentence oh if you're lucky it you'll get the occasional commas to separate the foot-long sentence to shorten your misery, feel free to do a headdesk now.
That is why when the sentence finally clicks in after some deconstruction and reading it aloud for the 9831203920-th time,
the sense of accomplishment is like no other. Hohoho. I finally understand what Robert Langdon must have felt solving those damn puzzles.
Spoiler In Words Episode 12
Chae Ryung hears about Daddy Eun missing and immediately rushes home, only to find out that it was a false alarm. Meanwhile, there've a group of uninvited guests -it's the group of loan sharks followed by the police. As a result, Jin Goo's dad finds out that Daddy Eun is suspected of manslaughter.
Daddy Eun express his intentions to stay in a FOC nursing home. Chae Ryung and Ae Ryung is saddened by his decision, but the both of them differ in their opinion.
Jin Goo and Ae Ryung asks for forgiveness from Jin Goo's dad for note telling him about Daddy Eun's predicament. Jin Goo's dad wants them to find a lawyer to get to the bottom of this case.
In the meantime, Jin Goo finds out that his mom is treating Ae Ryung badly and gets mad, he tells her that he will reveal the skeletons in the family's closet if she continues to do so.
Spoiler In Words Episode 13
As Daddy Eun is now living in a nursing home, Chae Ryung tries to fight off her despair and plunges herself into work. Seeing her in this condition, Hyuk Gi brings her to visit her dad and because of this, Chae Ryung is filled with gratitude.
Knowing of Daddy Eun's stay at the nursing home, Jin Goo's dad offers to pay off the family's debt and get Daddy Eun out of that centre. However Ae Ryung refuses his offer.
Jin Goo's mom still holds Ae Ryung with contempt, she uses her and makes it impossible for her to go back to her family. All the gallery's dealings are left for her to handle. On the other hand, Jin Goo uses Anna to cheat his mom out of her money.
Meanwhile, Jong Suk appears at the Chae Ryung's arbeit place.
Chloe Says: The story is getting better don't you think? CR is (finally) shaping up and we have more AR x JG moments (both OTPs FTW!) Oh, and I must comment on how good Ae Ryung looks with wavy hair too. Nice.

Spoiler In Words For IADD Ep. 11
*Sigh* I feel so down today...it's the second last day for the airing of M3 and I don't know if I can screw up the courage to watch it.
I've never felt this nervous for a drama finale before. It feels like I'm sitting on a precipice, waiting for something ominous to befall me. Should I just watch the previous episodes where the OTP is
officially together and take that as my ending? Ignorance is bliss, they say.
IADD OST -Just Like Now (composed by Donghae -Wook Gi in the drama)
Spoiler In Words
Hyuk Gi comforts Chae Ryung who ran out even before starting her part-time job as a waitress. Ho Ryung takes care of Daddy Eun, and dad realizes that he has become a burden to his children.
Ho Ryung sees Hyuk Gi coming to pick up Chae Ryung, and faces him with hostility. But when Chae Ryung told him what really happened during that period of time, he felt troubled.
In order to prove Daddy Eun's innocence, Hyuk Gi decides to take the Judicial Examination.
Man Soo and mom is busy trying to retrieve the money that was embezzled from them, but things are not as easy as it seemed. Meanwhile, Chae Ryung finally gets the determination to work and went for an interview for a job at the cafe.

Spoiler In Words For IADD Ep 9
Gosh...today's spoiler is horrible. It's really poorly translated, some of the sentences are even left hanging halfway *sweat* Still, I'm sure the translator tried her hardest, so I'll do the same too. So please bear with me <(_ _)>
Chae Ryung goes to find Jong Suk to borrow money, but because of guilt, in the end she went back to the hospital. At the hospital she sees Hyuk Gi and Wook Gi being attentive and caring towards her dad, and faced them rather testily.
Man Soo goes back home because he'd failed to raise the money. Mom blames everything on Man Soo; Chae Ryung heard their conversation and begrudges her mom for this mess. In the end, mom goes with Man Soo to raise the money, and they left home together. Meanwhile, Chae Ryung thinks of ways to earn some cash...
On the other hand, Hyuk Gi and Wook Gi goes to Byung Chun's former workplace, the "Chantel" room salon...

Spoiler In Words For IADD Ep 7
My favorite character so far:
Ae Ryung totally steals the show from her sister Chae Ryung. I think it's partly because of actress Lee Hee Jin who executes gripping emotions so well, but mostly 'cause Chae Ryung's still a spoiled brat, showing no signs of character development despite the show nearing towards its second half.
Like her brother, Ho Ryung said, she's the Shim Chung of the family and despite marrying Jin Goo for her family's sake (gah! k-heroines and their matyr complex), I find myself very invested in their relationship. So let's see who falls for whom first ;)
Alas, Dr. Hong! Were you nothing but a plot device?
Spoiler In Words For Episode 7
In the end, the marriage ceremony proceeded without Daddy Eun's presence. After the wedding banquet, Ae Ryung is in a dire mood as she thinks about her father. Ho Ryung leaves for the hospital, where he had an accidental encounter with Hee Jae. But turns out it was not so "accidental" on Hee Jae's part, it was all part of her plan...
At the hospital, Hyuk Gi is sadden by Ho Ryung's hostile treatment, and as a result of that he vows to himself that he'll repay the debt owed to Daddy Eun (I find it weird that the victim's family is the one who feels sorry here).
As Daddy Eun recovers consciousness, all sorts of feelings welled up in his heart. He gives Ae Ryung his blessings for the couple, instead Ae Ryung just teared up in the arms of her father.
Meanwhile, Man Soo finds out that his friend has absconded with his money meant for stock investing.

Spoiler In Words For IADD Ep 6
Before watching this drama, I thought my fav character would be baddie played by Ha Ji Won's brother, Jun Tae Soo. Boy, I was so wrong. While I never hated his character in SKKS, I've come to dread his scenes here.
Unlike In Soo who loved the girl, Jong Suk merely wants to possess her. You can tell, he's only going this far because his pride can't accept the fact the Chae Ryung is not least bit interested in him.
Spoiler In Words For Episode 6
As Ae Ryung's family members finds out her reason for marrying Jin Goo, they protested violently, but were unable to shake Ae Ryung's resolve. While Ai Ling works hard to pay off the interest from the loan sharks, Chae Ryung sets out to find someone who had borrowed money from Daddy Eun before.
Meanwhile, Jin Goo is estatic to find out that Ae Ryung has agreed to the marriage, and heads out to the room salons*(Room salons are upscale noraebangs; comes with female companions and not unlike Japan's host clubs). Dr. Hong hears about this (yay for more screen time!), and is extremely worried for Ae Ryung's future.
Mom thinks of ways to acquire cash, and takes the shareholder info from brother Man Soo, with the intention to invest all the money (this SO will not end well; NEVER ever invest money in a kdrama).
On the other hand, as the day of the wedding ceremony loomed near, an aggrieved Ae Ryung cries in front of Daddy Eun who lies in the hospital bed, but there was no way Daddy Eun would know what's in her daughter's heart. In the end, a wedding ceremony was to begin without Daddy Eun's presence.
At this time Daddy Eun has just woke up from his slumber; he wants to go to the wedding but ends up crying in the arms of Hyuk Gi (who had came to the hospital to visit him).

Spoiler In Words For IADD Ep 5, Plus: BTS Photos
Isn't she lucky? What bunch of good looking guys
It's ironic to note that the things that are causing me so much frustration are the very same reasons why I enjoy the show so much. I love the overlapping love lines (let's see, Chae Ryung and Ae Ryung each have THREE potential lovers) and the fact that the OTP is not that obvious at this point.
In short, it's sort of like makjang without the crap (is it even possible?). This show is similarly formatted like morning kdramas, but for once I actually care about the side characters and their story. It's hellochloe's dream come true.
Spoiler In Words For Episode 5:
Due to complications after sugery, Daddy Eun is in endless pain. Because of this, Chae Ryung faints.
Hyuk Gi and Wook Gi finds out that their parents not only took the compensation money, but the deposit for their house as well. They have no choice but to move out.
Jin Goo personally backs his marriage to Ae Ryung, but he still finds the family beneath his level. On the other hand, Ae Ryung finally breaks up with her lover (the director's son).
Mom* (at least, I think it is) goes to the bank only to find in shock that the account is empty. Ho Ryung who has finally arrived at the hospital blames Chae Ryung for all this. At the advise of Dr. Hong, Ae Ryung goes to meet Hyuk Gi. Daddy Eun asks for forgiveness from Hyuk Gi and Wook Gi who'd came to the hospital.
On the other hand, Ae Ryung who'd been hesitating about the marriage decides to propose to Jin Goo after seeing how he'd helped them settle Daddy Eun's hospital bills.

Spoiler In Words For IADD Ep 4
Jin Goo arranges for Daddy Ki Hwan to be transfered to his family's hospital, and daddy even accepts Dr. Hong's operation. Through Ae Ryung, Jin Goo finds out about her dad's predicament, and decides to go through with the arranged marriage.
Meanwhile, Hyuk Gi is mad that his parents seems to be more anxious on the prospect of getting financial compensation rather than mourning over their dead son. He tells Chae Ryung's family not to mention anything about money to his parents until the said case is throughly investigated, but Tae Soo's parents keep pushing for CR's family to settle the case financially.
In the end, despite Hyuk Gi's protests, his parents receives the financial settlement. They disappeared with the money and were nowhere to be found. At this time, Daddy Ki Hwan wakes up from the operation...

Spoiler In Words for IADD Ep. 2
Chae Ryung runs for her life, and while running she calls out for her dad (she's daddy's girl after all). He threatens her not to move a muscle and stay still like a good girl, but Chae Ryung, with her shaking hands tried to call 112 (~112 is the emergency no. for the police in South Korea). Dad manages to stand up and desperately tried to fight Duk Gi. Duk Gi's head hits the wall, and he faints.
Dad used the opportunity to grab him by the collar, brings him all the way to the police station and says, "If you cause any harm to Chae Ryung in the future, I will not let you off this easily."
Meanwhile...
Ae Ryung tells XQ* (who has arrived at her doorstep) that she will contact him later when she has everything figured out. She blames him for getting impatient (couldn't you wait for just a little while?), to which XQ replies, "Compared to me, I think your father's more important to you huh..."
Chloe Says: Whoa. She sounds like a cold, cold woman...
