Spoiler In Words: My Princess Episode 14

I don't know who 8Eight is, but I sure love this song:
Slander - Lee Hyun (8Eight)

Spoiler In Words
Hae Young has no other alternative but to live in the B&B. Upon seeing Hae Young's attitude towards that fact, Lee Seol panics. He tells her to take her time, but please do not push him away, the him that is standing right before her. He also tells her to go ahead and blame him.
Upon Hae Young's notification, Sun Ah, Palace Lady Shin, Gun Ah and Jung Woo comes down to the B&B. Together they spend happy times that are not easily obtained.

On the other hand, Jung Woo leads the consortium members of the royal group and asked Yoon Ju to take responsibility for the whole "fake princess" issue and resign from her Director post. Hae Young holds an emergency press conference, and in the presscon he reveals Daehan Group's past. He aplogizes before the whole nation.

Spoiler In Words: My Princess Episode 13

I know CNY has just ended, but the couple looks so good in red I couldn't resist.
Healing - 10cm (presenting you...another indie band! Check it out:)

Spoiler In Words
Hae Young and Lee Seol were spending some romantic time together when she gets a call from Hae Young's dad. This brings up the forgotten childhood memories, and with tears she leaves Hae Young's side.

Meanwhile, Jung Woo uses the fact that he had switch the real satchel as a bargaining term in hopes that Yoon Ju will leave the chairman's position. Lee Seol tells Grandpa Park that she doesn't want to be the princess anymore and because of the shock Grandpa Park passed out.

Chloe Says: OMG the last sentence...I literally sprayed water on my laptop because I was drinking (luckily it's H20) while reading that particular sentence. Is that suppose to sound suspenseful? Honestly I find the whole old people-collapsing-due-to-shock shtick kinda old (and I don't think octogenarians appreciate being depicted as people who faint everytime things don't go their way).  I suppose I must be turning into a jaded kdrama viewer.

Also, what's this about Lee Seol wanting to quit every now and then? Is being a princess some walk in the park? I swear - sometimes this show make this whole being a princess thing sound so easy. I much preferred the political affairs going on in Goong, where you could really feel Yoon Eun Hye's struggle as she establishes herself as the princess.
Oh MP...sometimes I wish I hated you more. Darn I'm such a sucker when it comes to these two.

Spoiler In Words: My Princess Episode 12

Only You - Wild Rose Thorn (Biscuit Teacher And Star Candy OST)

Uh-oh, I'm lagging behind MP! Should I sacrifice my beauty sleep to watch this? Or should I Zzzz since I hadn't for the past 24 hours? Oh, the choices to be made by a drama addict. >_<

Spoiler In Words
Lee Seol, upon hearing Yoon Ju's words: "As long as you can disappear from everyone's lives, it's enough." She then leaves a message that she'll be back for sure, and leaves the palace. After many difficulties, Hae Young finally manages to find a way to contact his dad. But he hesitates, he hung up the phone and left a message instead.

Meanwhile, Lee Seol is contacting the people who left a message after seeing the ad: "Looking For People Who is Acquainted With Lee Han's Royal Grandson" (i.e Lee Seol's dad), and asks them whether they really knew her dad. Hae Young finds out from Shin sang-gung*(sang-gung is Korean for palace lady) that Lee Seol has left the palace. He finds her and together they arrive at Jung Woo's home.

My Princess OST: BEAST Yoseob's Cherish That Person Eng. Lyrics

hellochloe is on a roll! I was midway translating Dream High's Can't I Love You? when I heard this song. And I love this a tad more, so I knew I had to do this one first. Oska was right when he recommended BEAST. They're good~

This song is written by renowned composer who wrote Sung Si Kyung's first hit "The Road To Me" and My Sassy Girl's theme song, "I Believe".

Cherish That Person - Yoseob (from BEAST)

Composer: Kim Hyung Suk
Lyricist: Shim Hyeong Bo

The moment I opened my eyes, I'll think of that person
Don't know why, I just laughed so
During a busy day, someone who's suddenly curious
Keep appearing in front of my eyes, it's really amazing

(Is it you?) The person who exists quietly in my heart
(Is it you?) The person who always puts my heart at ease (yeah)
Just thinking of her, my heart has the warmth of a sunrise
I truly cherish, I'll cherish that person
Because she's so good, I guess she was born here

The words "I'll always love you"
The words "I'm always missing you"
Even these words are inadequate
That's how much I cherish that person

On a solitary night, when I suddenly miss her
Just like that my heart gets overwhelmed
Walking down the road, suddenly I worried about her
Just like that I halted, paused for a thought

(Is it you?) The person who exists quietly in my heart
(Is it you?) The person who puts my heart at ease (yeah)
Just thinking of her, my heart has the warmth of the sunrise
I truly cherish, I'll cherish that person
Because she's so good, I guess she was born here

The words "I'll always love you"
The words "I'm always missing you"
Even loving forever does not seem enough

I truly cherish, I'll cherish that person
Saying the words "I love you"
It's inadequate to describe how precious she is
If I could be by her side, fall asleep and wake up next to her
I'll give my everything
I'll cherish that person

Chloe Says:
Lovee<3

Spoiler In Words: My Princess Episode 11

The latest song from MP's OST! Love ittt<3
Cherish That Person - Yoseob (from BEAST)

Lately, I've realized...Yoon Ju might have lost Jung Woo but she gains a new friend! Yoon Ju & Lee Dan, those two are soul sistahs. May they burn in hell, is what I'm thinking whenever they show up (sorry, I really wish I could be more objective in this and find somewhere in myself to understand her/them, but nope, my usual empathetic self is absent whenever they're around).

Spoiler In Words

Hae Young asks whether Lee Seol is willing to be his woman (swoon!). Lee Seol is afraid he will become the President's enemy because of her, and is thus unable to answer.
Yoon Ju finds Jung Woo to authenticate the contents of the sachet. Meanwhile the President could no longer count on Hae Young being on his side, and evicts him out of the Palace (oh no! no more late night rendezvous D:).

On the other hand, Lee Dan whom had gotten the sachet from Jung Woo goes to meet Yoon Ju and Hae Young arrives at Lee Seol's secret room.

Chloe Says: Huh secret room? I wasn't aware of any. Izzit the car?

Spoiler In Words: My Princess Episode 10

Happy Chinese-Rabbit New Year everyone!!! Hope you guys who are celebrating it had a nice reunion dinner. I had my first angpow for the year tonight, hehe...
Tok Tok Tok - Super Junior

In occasion for CNY, we're gonna have our very first trot song on this blog *applause* :D Two things went into my mind when I heard this song. One, this song scared me - I jumped out of my seat at the first beat "TOK" (I listen to audio via earphones, so it's especially loud) and two, the thought of a kpop group singing grandma songs is really LMAO. But it really shows that idols are jack of all trades, they sing, dance, act and some even compose their own songs. All the more power to the k-ent industry, I guess. \(^o^)/

Spoiler In Words
At night, Lee Seol is dissapointed when Hae Young goes out after receiving a phone call from Yoon Ju, causing Hae Young to leave with a heavy heart as well. Gradually, the country's interest towards the princess is deepening as well, causing an influx of letters sent to the them. Hae Young issues a flurry of unusual notices, one of them prohibiting Lee Seol to go online.

Meanwhile, upon hearing the news that the death of the emperor's grandson is associated with Hae Young's dad, Yoon Ju goes deathly pale...

Spoiler In Words: My Princess Ep. 9

Because Of You - BEAST (as much as I enjoy the indie part of the OST, the pop part isn't too bad as well)

Darn it, I can't find the words to express how mad I get every time Yoon Ju appears on screen. I am convinced she is created for the sole purpose of hatin' from the viewers. And hate her I do. It wasn't a problem until Episode 8 (that was the boiling point). Gawd, the way she talks impassively to Lee Seol - I get more pissed off by the fact that Lee Seol isn't even doing anything to put her down. Yorobun, let's make a date to burn this witch at stake.

Spoiler In Words

Lee Seol finds herself unable to surpress her feelings when she hears about Hae Young's impending marriage to Yoon Ju. And when Hae Young sees that Lee Seol has been getting the brunt from her sister regarding what he said at the press conference, he goes off to see Lee Dan.
At the B&B, he then explain to her that the statement he made at the press conference was done out of his own accord and not per Lee Seol's instructions.
Meanwhile, the ceremony for the re-launching of the Royal Foundation has begin. As Lee Seol steps into the solemn banquet hall only to find it completely desolate, she gets completely flustered.

Spoiler In Words: My Princess Ep. 8

Chloe is in a nom nom mode right now, nibbling peanuts as she stares at beautiful pictures of the couple (pictures of the beautiful couple? Ah, details). Unspoken rule of kdrama #395: Good things happen whenever there's alcohol involved.
Spoiler In Words
Lee Seol panics at the disappearance of Hae Young, but it was at this time Hae Young calls her from the conference and asks her not to attend it. Hae Young stands in for Lee Seol and gets thrown into the spotlight; he tells the reporters of Lee Seol's adoptive father's sins. Lee Seol and her family members get into a flurry watching the press conference on news.

On the other hand, the absence of Lee Seol at the press conference causes many speculations and rumors. She then tells everyone at the palace: As a princess, she has something to accomplish...

Because of the cold weather, they had lotssssss of NGs (excluding the retakes due to different angles). Hehe, Mother Nature is sneaky that way:

Spoiler In Words: My Princess Ep. 7

*Sigh* I don't know but everytime I translate the SIWs for MP, all the princess-y terms leave me yawning. Who cares about the Royal Committee or the Royal Consortium lead by some Official bla blahs. I almost wished Lee Seol were a commoner, so we get all the good ol' romance brewing with Hae Young without all the royal pretences (psst...did you notice? me don't mind being him being a chaebol).

Spoiler In Words

Under Yoon Joo's overseeing, the Royal Consortium officially starts preparing for the commemoration of the royal family. Facing Yoon Joo's undisguised hostility towards herself, Lee Seol loses all the guilt that she had accumulated towards Yoon Joo and is determined to live a good life as a princess in the palace.
Facing the upcoming press conference, Hae Young finally found someone who knows the royal grandson, Lee An (or better known as Lee Seol's dad). Together Lee Seol and Hae Young go to this person's residence...

Lee Seol Gets A Big Fat Zero: SIW My Princess Ep. 6

The Last Song - Lucite Tokki (My Princess OST)
Hae Young is sent to the Foreign Affairs new department - the Imperial Family Department. And for work purposes he enters into the palace; he is responsible for Lee Seol's education, various ceremonies and such (a.k.a. A 24-hour Torture Lee Seol Project). Hae Young and his grandfather continues to be at odds with each other over the restoration of the imperial family.

Hae Young's Princess Education officially begans with "The First Princess Ability Assessment".

Yoon Joo is officially appointed as the Imperial Family Group's Chairman. Because of her acceptance of the post, Jung Woo sees her differently, and gazes at her coldly. Meanwhile, Lee Seol feels uncomfortable having to rectify the current family register...

Chloe Says: (info translated from an article) Before the nation precedes to vote, Lee Seol will be receiving Princess Education. It will be impossible for her to turn into a graceful swan overnight, therefore Hae Young, a diplomat who's proficient in 5 languages has been appointed as a tutor.

Hae Young who understood various sides of Lee Seol due to his interaction with her before, has establish a devillish training program for her. From the moment she wakes up at 6 till night falls at 10, she is constantly being tested.

To which Lee Seol retaliates with an equally devilish humor of her own. Getting a zero, she requests for her red crosses to be replaced with red stars instead.

Just a suggestion, perhaps she should take some cues from real-life Seoul University graduate Kim Tae Hee? Just saying.

My Princess OST: Falling Translated Lyrics

Om nom nom.

It's funny how two strangers warm up to each other at rocket speed - one minute you're eavesdropping on a guy's conversation and the next they're like good ol' chingus. I give all the credit to Seol for that, it probably wouldn't have been possible with Hae Young's prickly personality.

Song Title: Falling
Singer: Lee Tzsche
Translation:
To me, he is my destiny
Always a great gift
The more I understand, the more my heart hurts
The more it hurts, the more I can't escape
 Gradually falling deeper...
Your broad shoulders
 The warmth of your eyes
 I'm falling into it.
Oh~

Perhaps, I really didn't have the choice
But I will not let you go again
The more I understand, the more my heart hurts
The more it hurts, the more I can't escape,
 Gradually falling deeper...
Your broad shoulders
The warmth of your eyes,
I'm falling into it.

Oh~

Spoiler In Words: My Princess Ep. 5

It's sad that I'm actually making an effort to move on - I had a teeny bit feeling that I'm convincing myself I like this more than I actually do (which is not to say that I don't, it's just that if I were to compare my affections for a certain kdrama...). At the risk of sounding like Katy Perry: Comparisons are easily done; once you've had the taste of perfection. Eh, why do I sound so heartbroken...
But one thing I genuinely like is the OST - It's an eclectic mix of pop and indie, which I enjoyed very, very much. 4Minute and BEAST (Lee Ki Kwang, the next noona killer!) contributes to the pop, with Lucite Tokki and Every Single Day on the indie. I have never really warmed up to Lucite Tokki, but I lurvvve Every Single Day! If they sound familiar, yep it's because you've probably heard of Lucky Day for Pasta's OST.

Spoiler In Words
Lee Seol marvels at the majestic splendors of the palace as they unfold before her. In the palace, her mom reunites with her daughter who's about to become a princess. Tears were shed and hugs were exchanged.

However, things are not going so well for Hae Young. He is under surveillance and receiving much public attention due to his newfound status as "the third generation chaebol who's in love with the princess". To rub salt to his wounds, he is asked to suspend his duties!

Meanwhile, at the same time Lee Seol enters into the palace, Hae Young's grandfather instructs for the speedier restoration of the monarchy and Yoon Ju requests that she'll be made the head of the Daehan Group.

Lights Go On Again (Full ver.) - BEAST

Spoiler In Words Episode 4

The two are surprised to learn that Lee Seol has been banned from going overseas by the direct order of the Minister of Justice. First they must take back the letter she left with her mom before running away, hence they arrive at the church her mom goes to worship.
But through a series of accidents, they have become known as fiance and fiancee, and to their surprise Lee Seol's mom are asking them to register their marriage.

On the other hand, Hae Young's grandpa displays a tantrum when he found out that Hae Young is trying to send Lee Seol to study overseas. Hae Young is similarly furious to find out that his grandfather disowned his dad; the two are in a serious dispute...

Spoiler In Words: My Princess Episode 1

Last Kiss - Supernova

Wahhh this is so tough: Between MP, Sign and Paradise Ranch AND Dream High, which is your pick? Or would you follow them all? To be honest I want to, but I don't think it's humanly possible to do so...

hellochloe also has a little announcement to make: I'll be going to Taiwan in a few days time to explore their night markets, dip in their onsens and stay in a caravan (or something). There's even a Jay Chou's cuisine restaurant in the agenda? *scratch head* Anyway if all goes well, I shall be back in six days or so ;)

Spoiler In Words

Diplomat Hae Young was attending to his ambassador guests when he first meets Lee Seol who is similarly doing her arbeit there.
Their first meeting did not go well. Later, they meet again at the department store! Hae young is then stunned speechless by Lee Seol's absurd request.
Meanwhile, Cheong Wa Dae's (i.e. Blue House -the residence of South Korea's President) President exerts his authority to propose a referendum on the issue of the re-establishment of royal family.
Daehan Group's President, Park Dong Jae orders his grandson Hae Young to locate the whereabouts of The One Whom The Debt Must Be Repaid To.
"The One Whom The Debt Must Be Repaid To"

Chloe Says: Aside from the obvious eye candy factor, I really hope the show pulls me in in terms of the storyline. *drumming with anticipation* Nonetheless, I'll be getting my popcorn ready on the 5th of January. Nom nom.

Oh wait, I won't be here. Darn it.

My Princess Second Look + English Subbed Trailer

Oooh the 2nd trailer is out! It didn't seem as fun as the first one, but it did featured more scenes and a hint of things to come.
In My Princess, Kim Tae Hee plays Lee Seol, an average uni student who work part time jobs to support herself. She's a girl with strong survival skills; cheerful and straightforward, she does not hide her feelings.

Kim Tae Hee admitted, "Actually Lee Seol's character and mine are the exact opposites. I'm more slow and unhurried, whereas Lee Seol talks alot and she may break into a dance at any moment, that's how frank she is with her feelings. After playing her in the show, I've grown quite jealous of her personality."

Chloe Says: I reckon this show has nothing in common with Goong, but everytime someone calls her "Ma-ma", my thoughts drift away to that other show.

Second leads Park Ye Jin and Ryu Soo Young. Will this be another Seul x Oska couple dynamic? *sigh*

Thanks to soshisubs, here's the trailer with English subs:

My Princess 3 in 1 Update Post

This is gonna be one loooong post. Therefore, I prepared some music, in the same vein of the trailer's OST. Oldies fun:

I Got My Mind Set On You -George Harrison

BTS Pics Of The Poster Photoshoot
Remember the horror? Well, in here it has became The Cute. Don't you wish that these BTS pics were the real thing instead?

My Princess Goes Ancient
My Princess does a Goong on me. I should've seen it coming, since Lee Seol is literally a princess and it's not some moniker dubbed by the Korean citizens.  Question: Will I get to see Sunnie in sageuk gear too? I REALLY can't imagine him in that. I still think of him as Song Hye Kyo's stony faced oppa. And that was a decade ago.

Kim Tae Hee garbed in traditional costume:

 Looks like she's having fun.

On site:
They have been camping out for a few days now, since last Wednesday (15/12/2010).

Most Romantic Headlock
What a beautiful scene. I even see rainbows.
This will be the OTP's first hug. In this scene, reporters are swarming because Hae Young's (played by Sunnie) grandfather announces that he will return all his inheritance to the community. Naturally, the media wants to know what Hae Young thinks of it and hence the ruckus that leads HY to protect Lee Seol from the crowd.
