WTF new people are coming in every week (=_=)"
~Cup 10: The more I love you, the more perturbed I am~
Cracks show in Xiao Ru and Jie Xiu's relationship when Ai Wei suddenly pays a visit. Jie Xiu's estranged mother, Samantha has also came to visit to see her grandchild. Jie Xiu finds out the truth about Xiao Ru's pregnancy.
Through Xiao Ru's inadvertent slip of the tongue regarding that night at the resort, Jie Xiu confirms his feelings for her and begins to pursue her aggressively. Will Xiao Ru be able to bravely face the happiness Jie Xiu wants to give her?
The ironic thing is, both Ai Wei and Xiao Ru have their own motives for obtaining a drop of Jie Xiu's blood (lemme guess, one's a vampire and the other wants to check DNA?). Who will succesfully accomplish the task in the end? And exactly what's the purpose? (that's what I'd like to know)
And Geng Shuo Huai who wishes her ill, what will he do to Xiao Ru? And what price will Xiao Ru have to pay for the hurt she caused to Shuo Huai in the past?
As Xiao Ru and Jie Xiu are busy handling the shocking issues they are giving one another, their fake marriage is discovered by paparazzo Jack. What will happen to the both of them?
It looks like it's still a perilous path ahead for Jie Xiu and Xiao Ru.

Spoiler In Words: Drunken To Love You Episode 6
Fake marriage, fake couple, fake kiss, fake honeymoon. Geez, why don't they just get married FOR REALS already? Who do they think they are kidding? No one, that's who.
Meta over meta, spoiler over my spoiler post: Last paragraph, READ. A total rip-off from a Harlequin blurb! *blushes*
~Cup 6: Who is the real third party?~
In order to cast aside the shadows of the past, the fake couple Jie Xiu and Xiao Ru goes off to their belated honeymoon. Can't believe that the sharp-tongued Jie Xiu who can "kill" a person with his words is also able to "kill" with his sickly sweet words! (fangirl shout with me, peeps: Kyaaa~).
With Jie Xiu's help, Xiao Ru manages to forget the pain of her lost love throughout the honeymoon. What awaits her is a series of secret surprises!
Ai Wei witnesses Jie Xiu and Xiao Ru being chummy, she is extremely jealous and hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! But when Ai Wei wanted to unleash total havoc and destroy it all, Ting Wei comes to put it to a stop.
Ting Wei reacted strongly to Ai Wei's third-party like acts, seems that this has evoked a not too fond memory of his past...
On the other hand, as Jie Xiu and Xiao Ru's honeymoon draws to an end, the two's relationship has progressed at supersonic speed! Facing vibrations that get stronger each and every time, the two could not ignore the fact that they have fallen for one another.
Under the influence of alcohol (noted: major drama theme here), passion overcame reason; and on that night, the two decided to cast aside the shackles of their contract and just completely possessed the other. Repeat picture:
Chloe Says: They are 6 episodes later than the FTLY couple, but better late than never eh? Looking forward to Sunday night ☾

DTLY Poll: What's Your Favorite Song Jie Xiu Quote?
Every time Jie Xiu gets mad at Xiao Ru, he doesn't hold back at all does he? Probably the most unromantic lines ever spewed off by a male lead since Easy Fortune Happy Life, but I'm all for anti-cheesy, cheesies are only meant for BOF MVs and should STAY the hell there (have you seen the After Stories? ugh, but credits to Bummie who can spout such lines without wincing).
So take your pick, which is THE classic Song Jie Xiu quote? Only 3 choices, easy peasy:
The results:
I'm A Skinny Guy - Xiao Hong Ren
So take your pick, which is THE classic Song Jie Xiu quote? Only 3 choices, easy peasy:
A) "Spineless, no self-dignity amoebas like you are the lowest creatures of love!"
B) "Could you please get a hold of yourself! The reason for breaking up is a lie, but the breakup is REAL."
C) "The best revenge is to treat the other person like a passer-by; like this you won't get hurt even if he throws an atomic bomb at you!"Hm, I always thought C) was a tad odd. Guess it's a more violent way of saying "To live well is the best revenge" lol. So which is it for you? About a 1000 people have voted on DTLY's site, and the result is a landslide win.
The results:
- If you chose A) you're in the majority. More than half voted for this.
- If you chose B), it's a close enough second. Around 300 people picked this choice.
- And if you chose C), hehe you're special. Only 15% of the fans voted for this (very violent lol)

Oh. My. Blogger. They did not just do this to me, after FINALLY being able to login after being kept out the whole day only to find all the SIWs I posted yesterday have vanished into thin air (now I know why Error 404 exists)! Oh pleaseee tell me that this is only temporary!!
Baka blogger(>.<)o You better keep your promise. Yaksok!
~Cup 5: Happiness on loan~
With the help of Xiao Ru the good wife(y), Jie Xiu's work is completed successfully! After going through such tribulations and making it through, the couple's relationship has unknowingly become stronger and Xiao Ru's stubbornness has made Jie Xiu take a good look at his love relationship with Ai Wei. What is he looking for: The beautiful but distant stars or a warm candlelight as company?
The sensitive Ai Wei notices the changes in Jie Xiu, and the two got into a big fight.
But even when the three of them are entangled in a complicated love triangle, a forth player joins the fray! Seeing that his heart is shaken because of Ai Wei, what kind of impact will he bring upon the trio?
Seeing Peggy's desperate measures, Xiao Ru decides to step back and let her love for Yi Xiang go.
However, even though she is as tough as a wild boar, having to sever all these years worth of feelings has been nothing less than painful. Seeing Xiao Ru suffering, Jie Xiu proposes a "Happiness On Loan" confession (Oh M Gee it finally clicks *remembers sweet trailer*).
As the saying goes: "To return what has been borrowed will only make it easier to borrow the next time around." (don't mind me, it's just a Chinese proverb meaning it gets easier and easier to borrow something). But if it's borrowing the happiness that is oh-so-hard to find, one may not want to return it, EVER...
Chloe Says: Oh yes, please make that an IOU for forever.

Video Preview for Cup 5 of DTLY + Some DTLY Trivia
Whatchu laughing at? Think it's fun having strawberry juice drizzling down your head?
...plus you know, same old same old. Bits of narration by yours truly for those who are not Chinese, or is Chinese but a banana.
Wow so our hero might actually dump his hot supermodel and to-be actress girlfriend extraordinaire for the wild (but cute) pig? And she's not pregnant? No force circumstances? Love it! Love it when Show takes initiative like that. No force circumstances, just because I WANT TO. Yay!
And nay (and boo!) if it was all an editing trick. Friends DO NOT say mushy stuff like below, do they?:
- Scene one: The Love Triangle + One Hot Hunk is in a nice cosy restaurant (with a great a cappella group too). Ai Wei spots the couple having a dance, looking very intimate like the OTP they're meant to be. Jie Xiu voiceover: "I may not be able to take away your pain and heartache, but I can at least lend you my happiness in the days to come."
- A clearly distraught Ai Wei drops the menu from her hands, and thinks: "Don't tell me they...it's not an act for them anymore?"
- A confrontation scene: Ai Wei tells Xiao Ru off, with the "He's Mine You But You Think You Have What It Takes To Take Him Away From Me Huh?" talk. Ooh game on. Or is it over already?
Chloe Says: I'm expecting more conflict since we're just 1/5 through the show (assuming it's 20+ episodes like the other SETTV shows), and expecting more of Hot Hunk to complicate situations. And I KNOW y'all is asking: Yes, he is of mixed descent; part Chinese and part English.
Off the set, actor Tom Price is particularly close with Tiffany as he teaches her Cantonese (he's from HK) while she teaches him Mandarin. Tiffany adds: "Every time we meet he will test me on my Cantonese. He even gets angry if I do badly." (LOL)
Did you know? Rainie and Tiffany Xu were high school classmates. Tiffany has mentioned that it was great having the opportunity to do a project together after having graduated for so long; the camaraderie they share helps a lot with the acting on set.
Tom shares his fifteen minutes of fame: He met with S.H.E's Ella at the airport and despite not knowing each other, Ella asked him for a photo. He said: "She was surrounded by fans at that time yet she came and asked for a photo, I was very surprised."
In preparation DTLY, he hired a language teacher for some one-on-one tutoring besides relying on hanyu pinyin (Chinese romanization) to memorize his lines, and is now (relatively?) fluent despite being in Taiwan for only six months. Language barriers aside, let's hope his performance is not wooden, since he IS suppose to be this big blockbuster HK star in the show.

Not To Be Missed: DTLY BTS clips + hc's narration
Really not a one to miss if you're a Drunkard (thanks viki, haha)! No obsession over a drama is complete without some BTS sleuthing, hoping to see more of the OTP in "real life".
The Making Of: DTLY's Ending Theme
Credits: All screencaps taken by hellochloe.
If you miss this, screw you! For Joseph has just endured a fever and cold winds by the sea without you ever knowing, uhuhu~
BTS #2: I'll start with the latest one first, 'cause the first BTS vid has already been aired with the first episode. Too bad subsequent ones have none of this goodness:
- The vid starts with the scene with Jie Xiu running towards the sea, clearly distraught as he's certain Xiao Ru has drowned herself. LOL. When he shouted her name, he *hiccuped* and jump. He's laughing 'cause he messed up with the hiccup.
- Now for Rainie's commentary. She says Song Jie Xiu will have an "interesting" scene coming up, she can't wait for it BECAUSE he has a fever (she looks happy about it wtf).
- Jie Xiu's in the car, looking unwell. When asked whether he has fever, he denies it. But after that he revealed to the camera that this is the 3rd day he's been sick, and he's going to jump into the sea soon. He heaves a big sigh...
- At the sea side now, he pulls off shoes (wow it's amazing he doesn't seem sick at all, not even one bit). He thought he did funny 'cause he "fell" face straight to the sand, but the director and crew thought it was OK.
- Rainie urges him on (jia you!!). Now we see that that there are actually strong winds, it's cold and it seems ludicrous that anyone would stroll by the sea at this time of the year, let alone eat hot dogs doing that.
- Rainie says she's about to cry (for Joseph), 'cause it's so cold.
The Making Of: DTLY's Ending Theme
- Nothing much to narrate, just explained how the concept of the MV came about: The city's exciting: When you're exploring the city's district and you suddenly find yourself at an unexpected corner alley (very much the theme of the show: "If love is so illogical, no wonder happiness is so unexpected.")
I make it a point to watch every episode until the credits end, 'cause it's just so beautiful (plus Yen-J rocks). It's like they're strangers but they recognize each other (like the Japanese "akai ito" concept? In Chinese culture we have the same thing as well, "threads of Destiny" that pulls an invisible bond to a couple, and you can't sever it no matter how hard you try. I believe Koreans do have the same thing as well - as seen in Bride Of The Water God manhwa).
BTS #1: Is included in Episode 1's ending
- Joseph grabs her from being hit by a reversing car. Her ribcage hurt because of his strong grip (Oooh~) while Joseph was clutching his hard, afraid that she'll come into real harm (if he fails to grab her on time). Her conclusion of the scene: OK! Has the "feel" of a hero saving a maiden.
- Next scene, Rainie's special commentary (deja vu): She's telling the audiences how Joseph purposely wanted to "cry" during that scene to up her game; obviously he failed since he had to resort to saliva (=_=)"
- OMG scene 0:58 - 1:20 is the best! They're acting out an exaggeration of an actual scene where she falls helplessly in love succumbing to the power of his eyes, and proceed to thump on his chest at "supersonic speed" (ooh it looks firm). Rainie's like: Super sonic speed? (・-・)? And then he acts it out for her. Oh the last part where she rest her hands on his chest and sigh? Best OTP ever(>o<)V
- Joseph talks about his character Song Jie Xiu; he thinks it's interesting because of the comical elements, and he's never had the opportunity to play such a role before.
- Ah the "infamous" first scene of our OTP's encounter. Close to X-rated (which was obviously intentional *smirk*). What can I say? I love coffee spills, heheheh.

Spoiler In Words: Drunken To Love You Episode 4
~Cup 3: The Good Wife Charges Forward~
As if haphazardly moving in with a "wild boar" isn't bad enough, there's an unprecedented crisis in Jie Xiu's career and it seems like he's really "Fated To Go Down" (hc: a supposed pun on "Fated To Love You", hanyu pinyin: Ming Zhong Zhu Ding Wo Ai Ni to Ming Zhong Zhu Ding Shuai Dao Di. I wonder if I've translated it well?)
Xiao Ru's situation is not any better, she is being eyed by the paparazzi (hc: or is it just that one paparazzo? ;D). She ends up dodging all the way to Jie Xiu's work place and gets caught in the middle of a war between the construction workers and Jie Xiu.
Seeing that work was not being done on schedule, under the Director's pressure Jie Xiu went so far as placing a bet to retire from the industry...
As the saying goes, if a couple sticks together they can even cut through the metal (hc: it's a chinese saying), as for Song Jie Xiu and Lin Xiao Ru...
This fake couple, will they be able to overcome this hurdle? Or will Fate decide that they are still not unlucky enough and continue to add insult to the injury?
And Peggy who has successfully brought upon a "blow" on Xiao Ru suddenly comes to see her, what tricks has she still got up her sleeve? (Song Jie Xiu please come to the rescue! *prays*)
And a "Big Brother" from the underworld keeps coming to the hospital looking for Lin Xiao Ru, what on earth happened between them? (hc: uh-oh...did something else happen during the "wedding" night? Maybe she gave him the money! XD)
No answers in sight for so many mysteries going on, and now another mystery has cropped up? Or should we say that the answers are within the mystery? So confusing~

Preview: Drunken To Love You Ep. 4 + hc's Narration
It's hereeee! I'm jumping up and down in anticipation for the next installment of DTLY. Like its predecessor Fated, it's thoughtful and touching. But what sets DTLY apart is the prevalent dark humor that layered the scenes. I mean, it's sounds sad on paper, but it's not. Proves that you really can find funny in unexpected places. Or maybe it's just the potent combination of Xiao Ru and Jie Xiu, my fav IT couple since Ariel x Joe.
"I ♥ Joseph Chang". Someone please make me a T-shirt out of that. This man has one hell of a talent, keeping me glued to the screen even till the BTS scenes of the show.
Warning: A Long Love Letter (&may will cause some anger)
Usually, my tw-romcom viewing experience has always been a head-banging one. Even for "hits" like Autumn Concerto, Hi My Sweetheart, Down With Love (and many more...). I just don't get it. Sure, some scenes are enjoyable but most of the time it feels so "unnatural" I had to look away or resort to headdesk-ing.
The absurd scenarios doesn't help much either (read: police car appearing within seconds of calling in Buffet Love. That pretty much killed it for me, and it was just its first epi.) Overtime, I have accepted my fate. This must be the norm in twdramas. It's just me, not Show. Is it because I understand the language? That can't be the case, since it's a hit with Chi subbers as well. I quietly watch the shows as I endured the "weird" scenes and then faked amnesia.
But now, *this*!! A ray of hope in my dry, scarce desert of my tw-romcom experiences! Thank you DTLY writer! Thank you Rainie! Thank you Joseph! <(_ _)>
*end rant*
Ahem, I will now explain what is happening in the preview for y'all who don't understand Chinese:
Lastly, a video telling us how successful this show is. The ratings rises week by week! Woohoo~ ヘ(^_^ヘ)(ノ^_^)ノ

Ahem, I will now explain what is happening in the preview for y'all who don't understand Chinese:
- Jie Xiu asks his colleague where the (construction) workers are. As expected from the previous episode, they are an unhappy bunch due to his outburst (which was justified imo). Not one worker is willing to work for him.
- The chairman sees this, Jie Xiu tells him that he will step down from the job if it can't be done.
- Xiao Ru persuades the worker (or rather, the foreman) to get back to the job.
- Chairman calls Jie Xiu's boss, saying he wants to "fire" Jie Xiu (fire spoken in En).
- Xiao Ru voiceover in Jie Xiu staring at laptop scene, trying to write his resignation letter: "If you just quit the industry like that, don't you think that it's such a waste?"
Lastly, a video telling us how successful this show is. The ratings rises week by week! Woohoo~ ヘ(^_^ヘ)(ノ^_^)ノ

Spoiler In Words: Drunken To Love You Episode 3 + Preview Video
Small talk: Don't cha think that the Mont Blanc roles are getting more and more obvious by each series? In FTLY, Xin Yi pawn her beloved gold necklace to get a b-day gift for Ethan (which is forgettable), then you have P.S MAN having a Mont Blanc necklace (that "coincidentally" matches Bianca's earrings) featured in a more luxurious setting.
And now you have the ultimate, prominently displayed ring (which I'd like to call The Small A$$ Diamond Ring) featured right in the first epi! Modeled by none other than Tiffany Xu and in posters by the OTP. I sense an even more in-your-face placement in the future, heh.
~Cup 3: "You took what's mine." - but who's the real culprit, you or me?~
Jie Xu strips (ohno yeahhh, you know where this is going don't cha) in preparation for a bath, not noticing that Xiao Ru is fell asleep in the bathtub while cleaning it. With Jie Xu in all his naked glory, Xiao Ru's throws a fit in "anger" (embarassment, really) and the two split.
Xiao Ru tells Meng Jun she's going to the place where Yi Xiang and her dated before, in hopes to forget and "heal" herself while Jie Xu scoffed and rushed on with his proposal. The proposal will be on a big scale, and the fastidious director is also looking forward to their second collabaration. He's pressured by the upcoming reception in three days, but vows to do well.
Xiao Ru goes to the cafe they (meaning Yi Xiang, not Jie Xu) went before, and quietly left the cafe. Meanwhile, Jie Xu is overseeing the construction work. He gets angry when the workers made a mistake. The workers are unhappy with him too.
Meng Jun calls Jie Xu, telling him that Xiao Ru's act of brushing the bathtub is her way of venting her frustrations. She concludes that Xiao Ru must be under tremendous stress lately and tells him to look after her.
Jie Xu looks for Xiao Ru, and finally finds her by the sea...
Xiao Ru arrives at the hotel, decides to have some time alone with Yu Xiang to talk to him. Meng Jun helps by distracting Peggy away.
Xiao Ru vents by stuffing herself at Jie Xu's place. The tidy Jie Xu could not tolerate the mess and they argue, in a tackle for the pizza they both rolled to the ground (LMAO).
Suddenly, Ai Wei who has just came in saw the whole thing (uh-oh *rubs hand in glee*)

Drunken To Love You: A Rant And A Report (please excuse me)
DTLY, I am in LOVE with you. And no, I'm not drunk. Whilst I've been hesitating to watch it due to it's name (yeah I'm a judge-a-book-by-its-cover girl, and one can't say the title without conjuring up images of Drunken Master kung-fu; don't even get me started on the English name).
But I'm hereeeee now! And that's all that matter's right? What a great rebound from the fiercely drama-heavy The Fierce Wife. And welcome aboard to the Leading Actors Club, Joseph Chang! I cannot remember the last time I've watched a taiwanese series not featuring Mike He, Ethan Ruan, The Fahrenheit Boys (my special term for the quartet), Jerry Yan (whom the role has been offered to initially), Joe Cheng, Show Luo, Blue Lan and oh did I mention Mike He?
I've been watching via Viki, and I've been so irked by a comment that he looks "retarded" and "slow" (right at the very first second of the show!), I slam-clicked the discussion button to a permanent "OFF", which usually I like to leave on but there's only so much "Kingone should be the lead cuz he's hotter" remarks one can take.
Wtf he's not "slow" or "retarded" (T_T), he's the strong silent type, yo! You're talking bout my crush in The Legend Of Speed here!!
-rant over *cough cough*-

Location: Campus at a certain Taiwanese University
Event: DTLY cast visits campus to promote drama
How lucky are Taiwanese uni students? You get to meet with celebs often, on campus! They come to you, not the other way around :D
Backstage, Rainie chats with funny co-star Xin Ling.
The cast were welcomed with a thunderous applause from the students. What a warm welcome \(*^o^*)/
I see that PT's Minho's Too Cool For Socks Ankle Pants trend is still on!
That day's surprise guest:
A specially recorded "jia you" message from Rainie's good friend, Show Luo.
A revelation by the always pregnant woman on dramas, Xin Ling: She once forgot to wear her "belly" prop in a scene. Even after filming, no one noticed! Does she not need it after all? (¬_¬)
Anyhow, it seems to be working for her. She has been enjoying secondary-but-prominent roles in a number of mainstream dramas. And she's certainly not a character one can forget easily (in a good way).

-rant over *cough cough*-
-Starts reporting-
Location: Campus at a certain Taiwanese University
Event: DTLY cast visits campus to promote drama
How lucky are Taiwanese uni students? You get to meet with celebs often, on campus! They come to you, not the other way around :D
Backstage, Rainie chats with funny co-star Xin Ling.
The cast were welcomed with a thunderous applause from the students. What a warm welcome \(*^o^*)/
