Hyun Bin Sells Poetry...And It Sells

Remember the poetry books the lovelorn Binnie read in Episode 3? Well, it seems that due to the drama, the collection of poetry books has been selling like hot cakes. I guess it's no surprise, behold the selling power of dramas. Even binnie's tacky sequin tracksuits are in hot demand, and what more the lethal combo of binnie+poetry? I'm sold.
Yesterday on the 26th, online bookstore YES24 has revealed that after the episode's broadcast, the sale of the poetry books has seen a dramatic increase, especially the book Hyun Bin was holding, "A Sunny Day Meaning Nothing". The book first published 10 years ago, and only sold 5 copies during the past 7 years (wuu~ that's sad).

The titles of the five poetry books: A Sunny Day Meaning Nothing, Someone is Walking Into My Heart, I Look Forward To Chance, My Melancholy Precious Woman, You Flew Here By Mistake.

But after Episode 3's broadcast up until the 25th, 178 copies have been sold so far. As for the other 4 books, on average they sold about 100 copies each. Annual sales rate increased from 40% to 420%.
The publishers of the book revealed that the book is actually already out of print, but due to the overwhelming response from the public, they've decided to reprint 2000 copies, and it is estimated to arrive at bookstores next week.
There were special reasons as to why the books' titles were featured as a subtitle. The writer for Secret Garden said, "Technically, these are not Joo Won's lines, but I wanted to use another way to portray his actions and emotions; hence the usage of poetry to portray the emptiness in Joo Won's heart.

Update: Moon Geun Young for BASIC HOUSE (BTS)

Remember the photo shoot pictures I posted a few days ago? Well, that was nothing compared to these pictures here. Don't be mistaken, this is NOT Mary. No boho look here. It's her twin sister, and she's cheekier, sexier, edgier and might I even add, cuter? Or perhaps this is what Mary would look like after years of living with rocker dude Mu Gyul.
It's no longer the wild cat/ Puss In Boots. She has upgraded to polar bear, y'all!

Chloe Says: Awww.....MGY's all grown up now! She has really emancipated from the Korea's little sister title hasn't she?

Spoiler In Words for The Fierce Wife Episode 4

~Tip Four: Can we really go back to how it was before?~

After that accidental kiss, Rui Fan can't get the thoughts of Wei En off his mind. An Zhen notices Rui Fan spacing out, and she thought that it was due to his boss's request to switch departments with Ai Lin. She fusses over him, and Rui Fan feels even more guilty (heh, damn right you should!).
To thank Tian Wei for his generosity (he did lend her a vase worth millions of TWD after all), An Zhen had no choice but to treat him to a meal (but she isn't really warming up to him, she still thinks of him as "the guy who brings bad luck").

Facing the naive An Zhen, the mischievous Tian Wei decides to make full use of the free meal offer and brings her to a high-end restaurant. An Zhen reels in shock over the exorbitant price of each dish, and the frugal her could not bring herself to order anything.

Tian Wei is amused by this strange creature, and he chuckles (to himself) at her reactions. An Zhen doesn't realize she has be taken for a ride, and as they exchange banters, her kind and generous personality begins to change Tian Wei's opinion of women...
Back at the company, chaos and confusing situations arises because of the change in departments. Wei En understands that for Rui Fan the competition to get the Vice President's position is a battle of life and death. She decides to help him by dating Kevin with the purpose of digging up some dirt on Ai Ling's department.
It's late at night, and Wei En still isn't home yet. Beside his sleeping wife, Rui Fan can't sleep a wink as he tosses and turn in bed. He decides to look for her and takes the car. He found her, but she's with Kevin looking pretty intimate as they came out the bar and left in a taxi together. The angry and jealous Rui Fan heads back home.

The next day, Wei En reveals what she found out yesterday night. Rui Fan then realizes that her not coming home last night was all because of him! Touched my her act, he feels a mixture of pity and love for this simple thinking woman, and could not help but hold her in his arms...

Sohn Ye Jin Works Out In Elegance

Yup, you read that right. I never would have thought that the word 'exercise' could go hand-in-hand with 'elegant', but while the rest of us sweat like pigs when working out, she's practically shining in the pictures, so bright is her aura.
Is it due to TRX training? In case you are wondering, TRX suspension training is a form of resistance training, as you can see in the pictures, the rope-like thing is call a suspension trainer.

Do you envy her trim figure? Me too. But fret not, we can have it to. That is, if you work out four times a week doing Pilates, cardio exercises, and this TRX thingy.

Blog readers, I think it's time to get our arses off the couch and work our butts off :o

Rain's Tango Partner is Daniel H.

*poof* The sound you barely heard just now is just me having a simultaneous combustion and evaporate into the air. Handsome, meet cute. hellochloe's thoughts are going wild again and I'm all fired up to do a fanfic.

Scenario: Kai, who couldn't deny his love for Ji Woo, dumped Jini and runaways (pun!) with his detective lover. Oooh~ I like where this is going. It suits the whole fugitive theme ;D

But onscreen, things are not all lovey dovey for the boys. They give each other intense (and delicious) death glares and it's the battle of the dudes. With 3 episodes to go, you can expect tensions between the two to run an all-time high. Love triangles are about dick waving after all.

Although they're Best Enemies in the drama, turns out it's really quite the opposite off-screen. For the drama's photoshoot, they seem closer than anyone else on the set, and also joked non-stop.

Chloe Says: Lee Jung Jin at the background is looking good too. But his policewoman girlfriend's dress is a pink wreck (to me at least). And why is his suit half off?

Yoon Eun Hye Goes Both Ways

Yoon Eun Hye did a photoshoot for Puma's 2010 Winter Collection recently, and the theme seems to be Betty vs. Veronica. On one half there's the Girl Next Door and the other latter half is more alluring, exotic and edgy.

Sure, high fashion may be in right now, like how black is forever cool and chic, but the girly girl in me prefer the pink ones. Yes, I confess: My favorite color is pink. PINK. Go ahead, snark all you want. My inner 8-year-old forgives you.
The Eternal Opposites: Pink vs. Blue

See that? Pink has Pink Panther, bubbles and all things cute!

...while the dark side has nothing! Absolutely *almost* nada! (I do mean it literally)

So which side are YOU on? ;D

Lee Jun Hyuk Cameos For Secret Garden

I Am Legend fans out there, this is your wish come true!
And for those City Hallers: We didn't get City Hall's Kim Sun-ah (although they did had a lousy shout-out), but I would gladly settle for the cutie pie assistant. Dare we hope for Cha Seung Won next?

And guess what kind of character he plays? He will be Ra-Im's ex begging for a second chance. Just kidding. He plays Oska's friend. But here's the twist: He appears in the 'past'. 'Past' as in flashback. Looks like he is the reason behind why Oska becomes a crybaby everytime he sees Yoon Seul.

Today (25/11/2010), a Secret Garden official revealed that he would be appearing in Episode 8 (aww shucks! not this weekend) as Oska's memory and Episode 1011 [edited post airing] in Yoon Seul's memory.

On the 24th, he came to the location site in Haenam County of Jeollanam-do to shoot his scenes. It's a two days job, and that means he'll finish shooting today and will be flying to Japan for his fan-meeting session tomorrow.

Just a tidbit (but I guess you guys already know it, being the highly informed drama fans that you are): Lee Jun Hyuk is doing this cameo 'cause he's buddies with Secret Garden PD-nim Shin Woo Chul and screenwriter Kim Eun Sook, both of whom worked on City Hall as well.

Plus, Spoiler pics for Episode 6: Did you know Kim Sa Rang is Miss Korea 2000? No wonder. She's got a hot bod!

2AM's 3D Movie Concert Premiers

Err...Usually I don't do kpop news, but I'm trying my best to get educated on the topic (it will sure come in handy, with so many idols crossing into dramas nowadays).
Gee, it must be weird to see yourself in 3D

Nevertheless, I find the idea of filming a concert AND turning it into a 3D movie very intriguing, I wonder if it's a novel idea or a common thing in Korea? I myself have not heard of such a thing before.

From the fans' perspective, I guess it must be nice to see their idols up close. Like real close. The so-close-you-can-touch-'em experience. Imagine: Sweaty idols right in front of your eyes.
Must be an orgasmic experience for them.

Oh! I recognize that dude (far right)! Wasn't he in Personal Taste?

The premier was held at 8 o'clock on the 23rd of November.
"2AM SHOW" is directed by Jung Seongbok and produced by
SK Telecom. The movie is due to be released in cinemas on the
9th of December.
